Thanks for the offer, but I've already tried one. I got the chance to use one for a couple of weeks in a passaround last year. That's why I want one. I've tried some other injectors, but haven't liked them.
Good luck with it. I'm in a forced NB, every time that I want to buy something, I got reminded that the little one needs new shoes, toys, pram etc
I'm in with you Joseph, I've been NB for about a month. I am hoping to get a nice scuttle as a gift but pledge not to make any additional purchases from now till 1/1/18. I may need to make a trade or two though ;-) Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
I'll join but not just yet. I'm technicality still in NB16 and its been quite successful. Since I keep a small stable I've been able to focus on, use up & enjoy a couple of products that were almost gone but had been lingering for a few years. Now I'm down to around 5 soaps/creams; I'm content with my hardware, brushes & have enough blades for at least two years. I could keep on trucking but think I'm going to break NB16 and try to get an iColoniali refill puck since I've never tried it and the discontinuation rumor is back.
I'm not a collector. I've been in "low buy" mode for the past year, and I've thinned my den down to the items I really want to keep and use. I have enough of everything, including backup razors and scuttles, to last for years. I have found that it's fun to: gift an item to a fellow wet shaver stick with a soap or cream until it's gone. By the time I've used up a product, I've done everything I can to get the most out of it. work on technique to get the most out of the razors I have With the exception of maybe picking up one or two additional items, I expect to stay in this mode through 2017. Consumables, like witch hazel or face soap, will always get replaced immediately. And I'm always open to checking out antique shops, etc. for treasures. If I can't use it, I may know someone that can. If I keep it, maybe I can gift something else in my den to avoid accumulating more stuff. YMMV, but this approach is sustainable for me, and it still allows me to fully enjoy the hobby. Congrats to Joseph and everyone who has committed to NB17.
Paul, it takes all of us here to keep you on the straight and narrow, but I will give it a try. I'm in the Looavul camp. I pray you and your family stayed safe during the hurricane, my friend. <back to normal programming>
Thanks for your wishes Charlie-I'm in Massachusetts, and remnants of Matthew may hit the southern and eastern parts of the state, but I'm northwest of Boston, so I should be fine.
Since it is still 2016, I'm okay, right? I just ordered the open comb plate for my Blackbird. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Thanks Primo for leading the charge...kudos to you for bravely taking the initiative. For me I have noticed that my wetshaving purchasing has declined significantly. I realize I am fine with what I have...no need for more. If, however, I find a nice razor in good condition I will pick it up. I have 8 brushes and this is more than enough. I have 8 AS/ASBs and this is enough to last me into the next millenium. I have hit my limit on soaps and creams. I am trying to use up my 5 year supply. So, the long and short of it is... I won't be joining you. I just can't pass up a good find to my small but well loved collection of vintage shaving implements. I am with @wristwatchb on a "low-buy" year. Best of luck...I will be watching with interest as good intentions turn to frayed nerves and collapse. When one is in the heat of the wet-shaving bug and acquisition disorders are dominating one's life and pocketbook it is like asking a thirsty man in a desert to pass on a cold glass of water.
I don't think your "advertising" caused you (or me for that matter to fail). SAD RAD BAD and FAD did!
Being eighteen months in and joining the 30 day Rule/Focus Shenanigans has fed & calmed my AD's. But there are too many new experiences yet to savor. I'm beginning to understand my preferences and make less uninformed purchases. I ought to PIF or trade a few more razors. I won't stop picking up vintage bargains in the wild because I enjoy the hunt.
