I need some help identifying these two Gillette's I found The above doesn't have a code I read the below code as a P2
I saw V so I think that makes it a 1975? With the other being a P, does that mean it's a 1970? The other question is are they both black beauties, or just the one with the black plastic base?
Also just an FYI based on your WTB post, I'm pretty sure that the only adjustable made in 1963 was the slim
I don't think the one with a plastic base is 1975. They were still metal, the plastic didn't start until 1977.
I'm looking and watching a couple of them and trying not to buy them all, but only the one that looks the best, but it's hard and tempting
Just thought I'd point out that "Black Beauty" is a nick name & not used by Gillette, just like double ring, single ring, black tip, flare tip, red tip, blue tip, fat boy, slim.....
I get great shaves from my Short handle Super (R2). Just as good as my Slim Adjustable (L2). In my opinion, the Super Adjustable, especially the short, is one of Gillette's best looking razors.
