Here is my New Deluxe Lady Gillette Jade set along with my New LC Bar handle. I think they are both amazing shavers and are in regular rotation. Sent from my BND-L34 using Tapatalk
The New Deluxe is probably my favorite DE razor. I have two of them, both 3 pience. One started as a Tuckaway and is my daily driver. It was replated by Razorplate and lives on a Weber Bulldog handle. The other is a gold bar handle red and black set. Great shavers. I will have to dig up a pic.
I was unaware that this thread existed until today. So, without further ado, a 1930 Gillette Chromium Tuckaway DeLuxe Set In use, because that is what they are for:
Here is another little NEW DeLuxe, this one is a Milady It's pretty handy and seems to match a number of ladies counter-top grooming sets.
Here is a NEW DeLuxe in a black leather case. It has seen plenty of use, but the amazing thing about tools is that as long as you take care of them, they will outlast you. Since this one is from 1930, I am pretty sure it has outlived it's user and should outlast me. It is referred to as a Belmont in a metal case or Criterion in the leather case.
This one is a neat one. The "Red & Black NEW DeLuxe Special". Referred to as such because it came in the Red & Black Case, in a Red & Black box, and was what you got when you asked for the "Red and Black" special, according to ads. The "Red & Black" came with the Uncommon Bar handle, with rounded shoulders on the ferrule. It was also available with the handle that is referred to as the "Deluxe Uncommon Bar", with smooth or absent shoulders on the ferrule. The handle below that has been referred to as the "Special Deluxe" handle, the what appears to be the same tube as the Art Deco handle used on the New Improved, fixed guard handles and the fixed guard NEW Deluxe, but also utilizing the end-cap of the tuckaway. It is a great shaver! Notice the different diamond pattern and length. I did find a "frankenhandle" that resembled a "Special Deluxe" that has found a great home on my Goodwill No. 162. It gets used every Sunday.
Thanks. Based on the patent information on the handle, it most likely came from a NI Bostonian/New Standard tube and Tuckaway ferrule and endcap.

handle has a good crack..thought not a factor..will use it as is for now.but considering a replate or a 3 piece conversion..
