Was rummaging around my shave stuff cabinet and spied this brush. Don't know how long it's been there or even how it got there. Tis a puzzlement. Anyway, it has a knot of 20mm and loft of 50 mm. It's some grade of badger though it feels a bit scritchy. Anybody know about these??
Yep. That was a Manchurian 2 band, iirc. I picked up mine as part of his clearance/retirement sale for $25 or £25 shipped internationally. At the time the exchange rate was near 1:1. I'll browse through my posts and see if I was close to being right. Also to get the model number for that brush.
Ah, here's the thread. https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/new-forest-brushes-co-closing-doors.45748/ It was the "High Mountain 2001" for 15£ shipped. Still the best deal for a badger brush with an English hand turned handle I've ever come across.
After that thread, I did end up acquiring two more new forest brushes. A Silvertip Persian Jar model and the largest size of Tubby, 28mm, I think. The tubby and the 2001 are still in my regular rotation.
