Now that you mention it I should fire up a quick pic of my first batch of wet shave items to arrive. The Merkur definitely has some quirks to it, and the feathers MAY not work as well for my face as I expected so I'm going to be grabbing a nice sampler that has a wide variety, and see how that goes. Been looking into some other soaps as well, though finding something easily portable that can travel with me or be carried into the field is somewhat annoying to say the least.
