Dad gave me a new 1963 adjustable. I think it is a speedshaver. I always cranked it open and scraped the fool out of myself. Then I went off to college and grew a beard and used an old straight razor to keep a clean neck. Go figure! Always a wet shaver, but Slidden Jim got me back into the DE with some good blades and a book on proper techniques. Now the Feather is my favorite blade in the old razor, and my shaves have never been so smooth.
