New Years Day Meal

    I made a large pot of Black-Eyed Peas, with sausage, and smoked Ham Hocks in it. On the side, some rice and cornbread. I will be eating well tonight.

    What is everyone else cooking tonight/today??

    This afternoon was a bone-in rib roast, thanks to a great sale at the grocery store. I put it in the oven at 500 degrees for 15 minutes then down to 325 for nearly two hours. It was our first rib roast and absolutely delicious.

    A melt in your mouth Pork Butt. Low and slow with Hickory. Black eyed peas, mustard greens, coleslaw, and cornbread.
