Newbie Lathering Question

    Yup, good point. It's brand new. Well, one week old today. I did the overnight soak even though it had zero smell. But I know it takes a couple weeks to really break in.

    That sounds like very good advice, particularly the last part. Besides, it is the shaving efficacy of a lather that counts more than its appearance. Experimenting around with the amount of water in the brush will yield lathers of varying quality. When it is just right, you can tell by the shaves. As with many things, practice makes perfect.

    I usually face lather but last night I took it to the bowl and ended up with a much better lather than I am used to. It is going to take a little practice for me to figure out the right water/soap combination but I think I like this a lot better. I am starting to look at the dirty bird stuff as well. Best of luck.
