I would add that you shouldn't be afraid to try different things. Sometimes a different blade or a different razor will help you get that superlative shave. I had gone through numerous Gillette and Schick razors and I wasn't enamored with any of them. Once I tried the Gillette President with a Feather blade, my moment of clarity came to me. It is so perfect for me that I don't dare try anything else.
If you already have the soap from Italy, why not stay with Italian proraso products. They match real well together and are all quality products at extrem low prices.
Can't remember the name? That's blasphamy!!!! Here's another vote for a Super Speed. It's a great razor. As a former newbie, I loved Derby and Red Israeli blades.
Not to me, being only 33 I am doing good to remember what my name is. With thanks to NoobShaver I have been able to enjoy a few nice shaves. I ran by CVS and picked up the shave in a box kit and can see how the prep work is the most important part. I am hooked. I have yet to remove my head from the remainder of my body and my wife is happy, however she did take out another insurance policy on me. Thanks for all of your help. You all made the change easier than I could have imagined. Chuck
