Hi everyone, Though I have been shaving for almost 30 years, I just now have entered into the DE world. Sunday was my first shave, can you say razor burn? Last evening, much better. I like the forums and the good natured posts, I'll do my best to fit in. Paul
Welcome aboard, Paul!! Sorry to hear about that first shave, but it happens a lot. Glad to hear subsequent shaves are going better. Just use a light hand (we all have had to "unlearn" those cartridge techniques) and no pressure. Shaving is something most of us do everyday, and we sort of take it for granted. (Or did, at least until we were "reintroduced" to the right tools.) DEs require some skill and that one pays a little more attention, but the shaves are great, and many folks find that the process is enjoyable again. Keep us posted on how it's going!
Yep, light pressure it is, along with some experimenting with different accesories and acoutrements. Should be a nice "oasis" in our go-go-go world. Thank you, I will do my best to learn from all of you.
Welcome to The Shave Den Paul! :signs046 Everyone is happy to answer any and all questions you may have about our little "hobby".
Well well, another member to the wetshaving world -- welcome! Just starting with DEs, and already contemplating straight razors (ala your your avatar) huh? Well, there's plenty of us doing that too, so we'll be here for you on that too.
Howdy Paul, just keep it slow and steady and only change one thing in your routine at a time and the shaves will get better. I'm certainly glad I switched over to a DE.
Welcome aboard, Paul ! Experiment. Have fun. Spend lots of dough! You'll reach BBS shaving nirvana yet!
Welcome Paul! and tyx for describing what we do as an oasis-that will stick in my head forevermore. Marty
