I gotta admit, this NBJ thing has been alright. Focusing on not only what I already have and appreciating it, but also the added benefit of working on technique without introducing variables like new soaps or equipment.

All that said however, I need a new lather bowl damn it. I broke mine last week and a suitable replacement is not available in the house.

Im loving focusing on my shave"and my life" and not the hunt.scouring the internet for the next deal or the new thing I have to get. Sometimes o forget it's shaving and I have all this "unusual" stuff because it makes me enjoy something I hated for years. Now im just browsing guutar sites constantly, thankfully that stuff is too expensive to get an ad, for me anyway

Oh, I'm still trolling eBay but so far exhibiting incredible self discipline. And you're right about the enjoyment of something that you used to hate. All of this cool, new "stuff" has made the whole shaving thing into a hobby instead of a chore.

 

I wouldn't think so. It's not necessarily tied to shaving. It's a needed hygiene item.

To help me get through NBJ I had to buy something. I just had cataract surgery on both eyes 1 month apart, with lens implants so I don't need glasses. I don't need to hold my iphone up to my nose anymore but now everything looks so small. Solution, I just ordered an ipad. Now I still have the anticipation of a delivery and have not violated the rules! Brilliant! ...... I think
