I have not varied my shaving habits. I am still using my 2015 Gillette Fusion Flexball Proglide
I just have not been posting. I need to get my act together again. Dealing with estate settlement problems.

The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Gillette Super Adjustable razor and an Astra Super Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Everything came together for a "top 5" shave this morning - WTG, ATG, and a few touch-ups. I'm near BBS and quite comfortable. Alum was quiet, like the Colorado plains. I finished with a splash of Fine L'Orange Noir, and my Bride is calling me to try some freshly baked breakfast rolls. Life is quite good. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Better go... :love055:

Why did you ditch the Weber?

I have the Weber, I did not really ditch it. I will probably start using it again in a month or so, I like the shave from my Gillette Flexball I started using the Gillette due to problems with my hands going numb and i find that using it I get no Nick's or Weeper's. I really miss using my WeberDE, but until I get the problems with my neck and hands going numb I need to use the lesser of two evils. :(

I am able to hold the Gillette easier than my Weber. The Gillette is like holding a feather as compared to my Weber or my ATT Razor set.

I just got the closest shave yet from my type F. Day 3 with a Chick blade provided a great 3 pass BBS. i did change it up and made my first pass ATG which I usually avoid all together beacuase of irritation but today was near perfect. The HTGAM Bay Rum aftershave did burn like hell but thats typical for this stuff.

I see. Would a lighter handle help? I have several for you to choose from if you wish.

Had a very nice three pass shave with the Progress set at 5. Some very minor irritation on the chin.

I new at this DE shaving - less than a year - and must admit a little confused. The more aggressive shave I have the better it is at least for today. Obviously I get a closer shave but there is less irritation. I guess I associated closeness with irritation but maybe that is not the case.

    Have a great Sunday.

Forgive me forum for I have sinned... Sort of.

I stated in my original post that I should only use witch hazel for my after shave needs. But for my last shave I used Kramperts Bay Rum lotion instead.

Granted, the primary ingredient is indeed witch hazel, so in theory I have not cheated. But it was not quite what I had in mind when I entered this "challenge" so I thought it prudent to disclose my indiscretion.

I guess it is safe to say I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further. :)

Today was day 22 with the Feather AC SS and required some care. I mentioned Friday that I took the top of a scar off. The last two shaves have required a gentle touch not to remove Friday's scab. I have managed to continue getting a nice DFS while wondering If BBS will ever happen. I have eight more shaves this month to see. I can't wait for Different December

After NOvember, what are you guys looking most forward to using? For me it's trying some different blades. Really want to give the GSB a good try and some other blade I received in a blade sampler. So what are you most excited to use after NOvember?
