NO-Variation NOVember - one razor, one brush, one setup, one month. Can you do it?

Blade - Wilkinson Sword

I am looking forward to using this razor and soap for the next 30 days.

day 2
still master of my own domain.

 

Day 2 with my Schick blade and all's well. My first use of Wilkinson Sword stick and this is one great soap. I used it for my pre-shave too. Just rubbed the stick on my beard, then washed my face with my hands, let the soap sit in there for about 10 minutes keeping it moist. Reapplied the stick and lathered up. It softened the whiskers well and made a nice thick lather. I'm looking forward to the rest of the month with it and I think this one will become a staple for traveling. The lanolin in it will probably be nice for winter, although we're still having 70 degree days here in Vegas and I probably could make do without it.

Soap: Wilkinson Sword stick - day 1 after a failed attempt with Body Shop Maca Root yesterday
Brush: TGN Silvertip in VDH handle
A/S: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

 

NO Variation NOVember
This is a new brush. I have been using it for about a week. I really like it. The C.O. Bigelow sure is cold with my cold water shaves. So far I am liking this combination.

I love this setup, reminds me of when I first started shaving when all I had was one of each. It's kinda simple.

 

I've been doing some of my own labels lately too (in fact, @Jayaruh, I posted a comment on your blog about my use of ModPodge to do this).

I'm going to start a thread about this in fact.

 

Finally got a USB cable for my girlfriend's Canon EOS Rebel XT. Here's a pic of my setup for November. Trying to get good at the camera by using it on all Manual.

Also, I just got a Parker SR1 Shavette, so I'm going to throw that into the mix for the WTG pass after the 5th. I'm going to be unbelievably cautious with that thing. I got the Clubman Jumbo Styptic on standby, homemade PSO, practicing with it without a blade in it just to get the motions atleast at a minimal understanding before I do it for real at all.

And, I'm not going to try another pass besides the WTG, until I totally master the WTG. No screwing around this time, like I did for a DE. This is getting into the land of total seriousness.

I need an "official" ruling on my No-vember performance. Don't want to be called for "illegal procedure".

I originally said I was going to use my '58 Executive. I did not shave on the 1st, but I received my new late '40's Aristocrat that day. So, for my first November shave on the 2nd I used the Aristocrat. So I'm calling an audible and changing razors. (Revised SOTM pic to follow).

Wow, does that brush come with automatic lather? Nice!

Thank you the knot is good quality so lather does come rather easily and feels like silk when painting your face. And the handle is cool. Lol

 

I agree with that stance. You need to make up the day you missed though so you will have to stick with it until December 1st since you did not switch products. Carry on!

 

Thanks for the ruling guys. But I don't shave on Saturday's normally! I'll have to go 5 days into December? This is getting complicated.

Anyway, here's my new setup for November. Just picked up this notched center bar Aristocrat (48-50?) for $20.

 

You guys had me sitting on the edge of my seat, good instant replay. Almost spiked my popcorn.
