    NCoxSTL AAACK!

We would never try to figure out what a dumb question would be. I mean, seriously, are we really the kind of guys who would waste time thinking up dumb questions?! Oh........wait.........

You're reading those blades about right, in my most humble opinion. If the fact that you're thinking like me scares you, I do understand.

November 2 - Stalling for time

    Razor - Qshave Futur Clone
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
    Brush - Stirling Synthetic
    Post - Alum

My what a long day this has been. Started around 4:15 a.m. when I woke up thinking someone was knocking on the front door. Noticed a light flashing out the bedroom window. Stepped into the kitchen to the site of red and blue flashing lights through all the windows. Apparently I'd heard the commotion from a DUI arrest they were in the middle of in the street next to the house. Watched them cuff the guy and then went back for a couple more hours sleep, followed by a very long and quiet day instead of the busy days I like. Anyway.......I'm a bit on the tired side and was ready for a great shave.

Second day on the Qshave razor and blade and I dialed up to 3. That's halfway to the top on this beast. The gap starts looking pretty awesome at this point. It is a .006 increase over #2 which is a pretty good jump. Hoping the blade hangs in there. Soap Commander since it's been awhile since I used it and the Stirling synthetic brush for a hilariously huge amount of lather.

The audible on this razor is awesome and even better at this setting. The Qshave blade on its second run - not so great. It did the job but it is already feeling a bit rough and draggy. I did, however, manage to hang in through three full passes to bring the baby home. Alum was a tad warmer than normal but not horrible. This will be the end for the blade, though. I'll use something I like tomorrow and through the rest of the time with this razor. The Qshave blades are good enough to get the job done for a couple of shaves, but nothing special enough to warrant having them around.

Thirteen pages on the second day of the month - I love it when this place is busy! Now, to get fully caught up!

I guess I am having mini focus, I am close to finishing off this tub of Cade cream and I want to make room due to an abundance of soaps and creams in my den.

Another razor touched up on the G20, A big, heavy Koraat, it did not make a sound but eliminated all the whiskers. The alum test gave zero feedback and I have a very smooth face..... epic shave.

    Irritation A+ Closeness A Smoothness A+ Sharpness A

Smart move on ditching the soap. It's not worth it to have a bad shave every other day for a month. Wonderful idea on a focus.

A wonderful shave this morning to end the work week. As expected the Rossa was easy to lather and the scent fills the room. Since I had a the time, I went with a traditional 3 pass shave this morning. With touch ups along my jawline and right neck, I caught the baby. Overall an excellent shave with no nicks, irritation or weepers. As recommended by the maker, I rubbed the extra lather from the brush on my face and rinsed after I cleaned up the sink area. I have found that the Rossa scent lingers for 4-5 hours. A splash of witch hazel with menthol provides the cooling sensation. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Thanks Neal. I'm glad you inspired me to try the Russian DE blades. They are awesome.

    Great minds think alike!

Doug, the brush looks striking and the Red Tip looks almost new! Beautiful set up!

How do you like the Nuavia soap? I've never seen anyone use it other than you and Clint.

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick J1 injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Terrific Fat Friday shave. Smooth and comfortable. I took a play from @clint64 and applied the remaining lather all around my face almost like a balm. I let it sit there as I cleaned up the area and then rinsed it off. My face was soft and smooth. I followed with the witch hazel and then Fine American Blend to top off a nice one. No complaints and great results.

Final football game of the season is tonight. Our team did not make the playoffs and therefore we end tonight with the 10th game. I look forward to tomorrow morning and sleeping in some!

    Enjoy your day!

John, it's hard to beat TOBS Avocado. I doubt this tub will last very long now that you have mastered the art of building shave goop!

Cool photo, Perry! How many injectors do you have, and do you still have any DE's?

I have 8 injectors - Schick E2, G1, G8, I1, J1, L1, M adjustable and a Personna injector. I have four SE razors - GEM Pushbutton, Featherweight, 1912, and a RazoRock Black Hawk. I still have my first DE razor which was from the Wet Shave Club. It was a pretty good razor. I also have two travel Techs in cases. But I haven't used a DE razor in well over a year.
