Perry, you have quite a collection. I'd enjoy seeing a family photo of your injectors sometime. I'm curious to know your impression of the differences between the various models. I passed up a boxed Schick injector (an "E" maybe?) at antique mall a few months back for $15. Probably should have grabbed it.

How are you getting on with the brush?

Great picture and line up Perry. Glad the using the remaining lather worked well for you. I think it works best with soaps that have good skin care qualities anyway.

Thank you Charlie. Here is a thread on Nuavia http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/nuavia.54248/

I really like the Rossa and Blu. I have not tried the Verde so I can't comment on that one. The scent of the soaps really have to be experienced to be believed. The scents are pretty strong and long lasting. The scents to my nose are very complex and enjoyable. Of the two I prefer Rossa by a small margin. I bought my two soaps unused on another forum BST from a gentleman that didn't like the scents. Proves YMMV. I did send a sample of each to Jim @Norcalnewb so maybe he can comment as well. The soap can be purchased from PannaCrema directly on from The Handle Bar Supply Co. in America.

Thanks, Clint! I've only tried that method with Mitchell's. It would probably work well with a Stirling soap, too.

I think so too. I bet it would work wonders with Route 66. I don't think it would work well with a soap that is borderline drying.

Another place that carries Nuavia is Connaught Shaving in the UK. I bought the other Pannacrema soaps from there - the two Pure2O versions. Also very nice but in plastic tubs and much much cheaper.

You are right. I want to try the Pure2O versions as well. Given the price I am not sure I will repurchase Nuavia. If refills were sold that might change my mind but I just can't see paying for the nice ceramic container over and over.

The E2 is the most aggressive of those injectors. I have to be careful with that one and really watch the pressure. The Personna and the L1 are the most mild. The G1, G8, I1 and J1 shave very similarly - smooth and comfortable always. The M adjustable is neat because of the adjustment feature. I turn it up to 7 or 8 most of the time.

I'll post a picture sometime soon.

I really need to do some pictures, too, because my experiences are somewhat different. I have an E2 (one of the ones you can open) and find it mild but efficient. My comparable one is the G8. OTOH, I don't get along well with the G1.

A while back, I looked at the three side-by-side. The E2 and G8 had a very similar geometry with regards to the safety bar. The G1 had a narrower one which, to me, made it more aggressive. A broken E3 that I have seems to also have the same geometry as my E2. I've actually been curious to pick up a few of the intervening G models to see when the geometry reverted.

The I1 and J1 should shave very similarly since they are the same head on two different handles. One of my personal favorites is the Schick '500'- a Hydromagic on a longer J-type handle.

I can see how the G8 could be similar to the E. It shaves a little differently than the G1. I find the G1 to be the smoothest of them all. It's my favorite of those injectors.

3rd day of the week-long No Variation. For the past 2 days, I've bloomed this soap to try to get better lather as it is recommended by the artisan. Didn't make a difference. I loaded with a dry brush using the bloom water today. Loaded for what seemed like forever, and added water to the brush a la super goop way. Had functional lather, but barely enough for 3 passes. The only other time I've had a problem lathering any soap in my water was a Crabtree and Evelyn triple milled puck a few years ago. This weekend, I might try scooping some into a bowl. If that doesn't work, say hello to my new bar soap.
The shave itself, however, has been really good. The soap does allow the razor to glide, and I've had 3 passes with mininal touch up the last few days to get to a BBS. The razor was my entry in DE shaving, and it is a solid performer. The Nacet seems to be an excellent dance partner for it as well. I'm also loving the Florida Water, and it does seem to pair well with the citrus in this soap.
    Have a great day all!

Great photo Jason. You’re certainly trying all the tricks to get the soap to work.
