Don't kid yourself, Perry. It's not unusual, and it ain't goin' away. You're from Alabama. :p

Thank you Charlie. The General is a touch more efficient with either Feather Pro or Feather Super Pro blades than my B2 Mongoose. However, the General is much smoother with either blade choice. Really it was no comparison in the smoothness of the shave. Of all the AC razors I have tried, Mongoose, Alumigoose, Cobra and General, the General is the best mix of smoothness and efficiency. I ended up selling my B2 Mongoose and V1 AlumiGoose after getting the brass General.

Thanks Clint. I just felt a strong wave of enabling come over me. I sat down quickly, applied some accupressure to both of my temples, and took a few deep breaths. I'm OK now.

Seriously (and I know this is frowned upon in this thread), this put the General on my radar.

    Have a great day!

Great picture Jim. You don't see many X3 slants pictured in SOTD photos even though it receives generally positive reviews

Great lineup Perry. I love the Peppermint and Lavender scent of the Fine Lavender.

Enabling button off. :D Seriously watch the BST section, my guess is a few will be listed once the new batch of SS Generals get delivered. Without fail folks buy things and then sell them a few weeks later.

Thank you, Charlie! This is the only slant I have tried. It is fun to use, and I like the feel of the razor surface. Ikon did a great job with it.

Yep, I should have thought things out a bit better. Could have been worse.

BTW, I have no idea what is going to happen tonight. This series has been completely unpredictable.

Wonderful picture, Brian. That looks like a top notch shave.

Thank you, Clint! I agree, for some reason you don't see this razor too often, but I haven't really seen anyone say anything bad about. I don't use it often enough either.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, this will be my No Variation set up for the week. This was my first DE razor, but I haven't pulled out the EJ since I started accumulating vintage razors 10 months ago. The soap and AS came via trade and I've used them twice and once respectively.
Lather has been an issue with this soap for me. Today wasn't super good either. 3rd use now, one runny and useless, one pretty good and today was somewhere in the middle. When you push it too far with water it breaks from good to bad very quickly. Still had lots of slickness, though.
Three passess and a little neck touch up with this combo has me very close to BBS, even with the blase lather. Finished with the Florida Water, which I am enjoying. Things are good.
    Have a great day all!

That's a beautiful set up Brian. Just love the @jtspartan brush and bowl creations. The straight is also a beauty, but that blade has a mean looking spike point on it.
