Or something worse then icyhot like tiger balm or biofreeze.

Today is a travel day and I actually had time for a leisurely shave this morning. You would think it would be the best shave of the month. Nope! I screwed up. I touched the blade down at too steep an angle when working around my goatee and left a one inch mark. Fortunately it wasn't very deep and didn't bleed very long. Otherwise it was a very nice shave.

I think we need to issue a shave alert for straights/pain sticks! Sheesh - in the past two days you, me and @Drygulch have all managed to create havoc. Time to take a deep breath and meditate the bad karma away! Maybe we should all be thankful tomorrow that nobody is in the hospital yet!

At least not without disturbing the cartel. And nobody wants that. The boys have been quiet during NOVember. They're getting restless.

I love our standards on the 30DC! Other than the one inch gash, it was a very nice shave.

Hey that's just appreciation for the overall result. You can't let a little thing like hanging skin and spraying arteries spoil the acquisition of a fine DFS now can you.

 

I can't feel the gash when fondling my DFS. That's a nice shave by my standards. It's all about the feel, not the look

I had a great day! Extremely tired but I'm very happy with the fun filled day we had. Now I'm off to bed (yes it's 7:55 pm) I'll be up early tomorrow to start our Thanksgiving breakfast.

 

That's what I am talking about. We don't quit.

 

Nov 26 Focus shave 26

Next up is Czech and Speake 88. Since this soap is reported to share its lineage with AoS tallow and Valobra I lather in the same way. A slightly floppy brush with good flow through. I was reward with lots of very wet lather. Messy but effective. I use my Futur with a Gillete Thin on it's second day. 4 smooth passes and all was wonderful. Alum test did not give any reaction at all plus a solid BBS.

IMO, there's nothing quite like Mystic Water soap.

 

Todays shave will be tame. I'm thinking PAA Prickly pear Rose with a schick B type and The Veg. the next day will be fun. Rapira in a Russian 3 piece. I loaded a blade in it and you could drive a tank through the blade gap. I'm looking forward to it. I'm wondering what soap from the box to try with it. Also what aftershave or balm to try afterward. I'm expecting pain and blood so witch hazel balm?

I was up early this morning. The first of 2 turkeys is smoking on the Big Green Egg. I decided to reward myself with leisurely shave. Following @CyanideMetal advise, I loaded the brush with MdC and used the MW Lavender Stick on my face. The combination was a lavender explosion with the scent remaining strong throughout the shave. With a nice slick lather, I went to work with the Wolfman OC using a Lab Blue ending with a near BBS shave. Closeness A with Irritation an A+. Finished up with a splash of Fine Platinum. Now I am off to get the second turkey on the smoker. Happy Thanksgiving to the 30 day Crew.
