Hello everyone, my 11/26/2015 shave: - RazoRock Mudder Focker - WD High Mountain Badger - Mühle R89 - Gillette Silver Blue (#4) - Tüff sensitiv Rasierwasser I have to go through some of my soap samples over the course of the next few days, because I want to put some of them on my Christmas wish list. So I picked this RazoRock for today's shave. It lathered easily with the WD badger, compared to some of my other soaps it seems to be pretty water-hungry. The lather was slick and protective and smelled just great. So this one's definitely on the shortlist (same as the WSP Gaelic Tweed I used last time). Instead of the usual approach (WTG - XTG + some ATG touchups) I tried WTG - XTG east/west - XTG west/east today. Worked pretty well, but left parts of my face less smooth than after the last shave. There are some areas that apparently just have to be shaved ATG, even if it's just for those little finishing touches. On the other hand - pretty nice shave without any kind of irritation (seems to be the usual thing nowadays). Finished with the usual: cold water rinse and Tüff After Shave. I'd rate it B+ for smoothness, A+ for irritation. Oh - and one more thing. This is what your shirt looks like after you used it to wipe/polish your razor with a blade still in it We don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here - but to all of you in North America: Have a wonderful day

Thanksgiving Day Gillette Super Speed Y3 Gillette Silver Blue (2) Vulfix Super Badger (660) Strop Shoppe Baker Street Pinaud Clubman Original Today I followed the directions on the cover of the Strop Shoppe Baker Street container. I wet my face, squeezed out my soaking brush and swirled for 20 seconds in the soap container. Went to my face to spread things out - nice and smooth, then added water and began to work it. Several rounds of water and brush strokes. Had a rich thick lather that felt nice and slick. The photo may not look like much, but my face was well coated with smooth lather. 2 full passes: Pass 1 XTG. Very good reduction. Pass 2: ATG. At this point had a near BBS. Afterwards, I did some touch up where I could easily feel stubble and it felt like I might have a BBS. A cold water rinse followed by a small amount of touch up in a few of my trouble spots and I caught the baby. The Pinaud Clubman was mild. Another nice BBS from the Gillette Silver Blue in my Super Speed with the Strop Shoppe Baker Street. A very enjoyable shave. I hope this BBS lasts as long as the one yesterday. I couldn't feel even a hint of stubble for over 4 hours. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

November 26 Feather Artist Club SS Feather Professional (8) Semogue 830 MdC scented Two passes plus touch-ups Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Pinaud Clubman Goals Further develop my two-pass shave technique by practicing the basics Break in and get more experience with the Semogue 830 Get more experience with MdC A great shave with the Feather AC on two days of growth. Two passes (WTG and ATG) plus touch-ups for a near BBS shave. This is the first time I've used a blade for 8 days, and I found it to still be very smooth. May God bless all my TSD brothers and their families on this Thanksgiving Day!
I didn't really need to shave but I have the box tour box and it is a holiday so I lathered up Prickly Pear Rose soap from PAA. and did a quick 2 pass with my schick type B and a fresh Schick blade. I wanted to do the Veg but Time was short earlier and I couldn't find it in the 2 boxes full of stuff that somehow was fit into the Box tour box. I noticed after my shave that the PAA soap was a preshave soap and not a shaving soap. I lathered it up with my WD synthetic and it made a very nice slick lightweight lather. It did pretty good on both passes. I never would have guessed that it wasn't a shaving soap based on its proformance. I face lathered adding water to the brush 2 or 3 times. The scent was OK but all I could smell after it was lathered was the rose. I finished up with Thayer's lilac WH and Pinaulds Citrus Musk. The Veg hid from me so Maybe I'll find it for my Soviet razor shave tomorrow. Despite using a preshave soap as a shave soap I ended up with a 2 pass near BBS with no irritation and no aftershave burn. I didn't touch up because I don't want to explain any redness if I tried too hard for the baby so my trouble spots have just enough roughness to allude the baby.
NOVember - NO Variation November 26 Razor - Feather SS AC Pain Stick Blade - (7) Brush -BoS Omega 10066 Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Post - Cold Water, Alum, Nivea Happy Thanksgiving!! The turkey's in the oven and all's well on that front. Just myself and SWMBO today which is how we like it. No big families to deal with and much less drama that way! Hope your day is great whether you eat at a restaurant counter or have the entire clan over for the day. I'm always thankful for the TSD gang and I'll just say a special thanks today for everyone here who keeps this community growing and thriving. And now, on to the shave. Day 7 on the blade and it's still performing without a problem. I'm probably not going to change out as I'm thinking of bailing early on the month and starting something new on Sunday. If I don't, then it will be a good test of how much the Feather Pro can take. I also have a Feather Super Pro I may switch to for a few days. Still not definite on my plans. BoSFat was great today and the shave was a very smooth two pass with some touchups. The only issue was a minor nick across the same area on my jaw/chin as the past two days. It's getting better though. Nice DFS for the holiday and I even added some Proraso aftershave at the end. Enjoy your dinner today! The guys from the cartel are supposed to be here later. I don't know, though, they texted a picture telling me they were busy. Looks like they may be late.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a safe and joyous day. Catch you guys later for some post turkey shenanigans, and maybe we'll even talk about razors and shaving too! Have a great Thursday afternoon!
Thank you! In Denver, Colorado, USA-- http://www.denverchristkindlmarket.com/gallery/ The local German expatriate community in the city of Denver does this every year. Thanksgiving marks the start of the holiday season in Denver. The Christkindl market features German coffee, wine, beer, German sausage, pastry and other holiday foods, handcrafted arts and ornaments, music, lights and dancing. We visit every year for an afternoon, and it's always a fun experience.
Kerry- Thank you! I hope you have a great day with the family! 2016 is going to be a great year on Tsd!
No shave for me today, as I got lazy and my son didn't want me to. I hope everyone has a blessed and safe holiday today.
Well I had to have a variation in my No Variation November. I drove five hours yesterday to my In-laws house and made sure to pack my Feather AC SS in the case I bought just for this trip. Imagine my disappointment this morning when I started to shave and realized I forgot the TOBS Grapefruit. Oh well, out came the Arko stick. I just did a single pass shave WTG and got a surprisingly nice shave. The rest of the day has been pretty mellow. The turkey is starting to smell good! Happy Thanksgiving!
So I am looking forward a bit to next month. I have a couple of choices for my focus next month. One, I can now go with a Pain Stick, courtesy of @Drygulch, or two, I can work with my Schick Repeaters. I have four of these, two of which have been unused. My original plan for the month was the Repeaters, but acquiring the Pain Stick has me reconsidering. I would welcome some input from the 30 day focus group.
I'm assuming it's the CJB? That's the same one I started with. Just a different handle shape and not quite as well built as the Feather SS. It got me started with them though! I say PAIN STICK! Join the BOPS in December.
