That definitely looks like a fun event! We usually visit this one at the most beautiful location in Berlin - the "Gendarmenmarkt": http://www.gendarmenmarktberlin.de/wp/galerie/ When we visit the US we usually travel in spring, either April or May. We should definitely consider a winter vacation sometime to see how you celebreate the holiday season.
Happy Birthday. Welcome to the 30 day crew. Taylor of Bond Street Sandalwood Cream was my first real soap/cream when I started DE shaving.
I know it was a food parade at the homestead. Like your brother, I smoke 1 turkey and 2 turkey breasts on the Big Green Egg for the family lunch. Now that my mom is older we have her and my sister's family over for lunch. I had to get up at 0 dark 30 to get the turkeys started which makes for a very long day.
11/27/15 Gillette Super Speed Y3 Gillette Silver Blue (3) Vulfix Super Badger (660) Strop Shoppe Baker Street Pinaud Clubman Original Face lathered the Strop Shoppe Baker Street. Had a rich thick lather that felt nice and slick. 2 full passes: Pass 1 XTG. Very good reduction. Pass 2: ATG. At this point had a near DFS. Lathered up again for some touch up where I could easily feel stubble and it felt like I might be within reach of a BBS. A cold water rinse followed by a moderate amount of touch up in a few of my trouble spots and I thought I caught the baby. The Pinaud Clubman stung a little more than it has the last few days, but quieted down quickly. About 45 minutes later, started to feel hints of stubble, so only a near BBS today. Another enjoyable shave from the Gillette Silver Blue in my Super Speed with the Strop Shoppe Baker Street. I really like this soap. I spent quite a bit more time going over my trouble spots reaching for the baby, but ended up with a near BBS. Tomorrow I'm going to give the GSB a rest and put a Rapira Super Stainless in the Super Speed. I hope everyone has a great Friday!
I hope you have a great Birthday on Sunday and have your best shave so far! Welcome to TSD and the 30day group!
Congratulations on your daughter's accomplishment! Being in the Thanksgiving Day Parade will be a memory that stays with her forever. I know you wished you could have been there too, but it sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving yourself.
Sounds like a great Thanksgiving! I'm sure your mom and your whole family really enjoyed the feast and spending time together.
This will be a Thanksgiving to remember. I'm so glad your daughter got to visit NYC with her dance team!
I recommend two passes with the Feather AC and multiple passes by the Thanksgiving table. It seems like everyone here took full advantage of the opportunity.
Welcome to the 30-Day Focus. My first soap when I restarted DE shaving was TOBS Jermyn Street. Good to have you aboard.
SOTD 11/27/15 Razor- Union Cutlery Spike (near) Wedge 11/16 Strop- Drygulch American Bridle Leather and Polypropylene DE Razor- Pre War Fat Handled Tech w/ Voshod Brush- Ever-Ready 100T w/ TGN 22mm Synthetic Soap- The Shave Den, Iced Yin Yang Post Shave- Cold Water Rinse, Alum, Thayer’s Alcohol Free Witch Hazel Aftershave- The Shave Den, Iced Yin Yang Splash After Wednesday’s eventful shave, I was just aiming for CCS to be OK for work. I used the straight for everywhere except where I had cut my jaw. I did that area and my normal touch up half pass with the Tech. No drama, BBS shave. Cool. I did carefully wash my hands after applying the aftershave. This will probably be my last shave this month. My wife is being induced on Monday for our second child, so shaving is not going to be a huge priority.
