I might start him off with some proraso it's easy to lather and very quick at it as well. I'll show him some lather techniques soon. Such as a bowl or face lather.

I advocate barbasol for learning. Soap is a different skill.

I don't think lathering with a brush is hard at all. If a young pup like Myles and an old man like me can do it, then Myle's uncle shouldn't have a problem. Myles wants to get his uncle into moving away from the canned stuff. His idea of using Proraso which is an easy soap to lather for demonstration is spot on.

Hi guys! This post is mainly for my fellow headshavers. I normally don't comment on my headshaves, but tonight I just want to comment on what a great product Cremo is for headshaving. I frequently use it for my headshaves and it really gives me excellent shaves. Tonight's headshave was no exception. I used one of my Fatboys and got a fantastic BBS shave. I know that I have extolled Cremo's virtues a few times here on the thread, but it really is the bomb! I paid 8 dollars for a tube and should get at least 100 shaves with it. It is very inexepensive. You just need a very little amount to cover your wet head For subsequent passes, you only need to add water to maintain the slickness for the razor to glide. I really like the no mess and very little cleanup when using Cremo. Also, it is great to use when pressed for time. Has any of my fellow follically challenged guys tried it? What did you think about Cremo? Good? Bad?

I just wanted to add that Cremo can be used for face shaves, too. Let it never be said that I excluded the full head of hair shavers.

I will be using Arko for the first time very soon. Tabac and Cella also lather quite easily.

    Shaving Recipe For the day.

Prep: Warm shower / Cussons Imperial Leather ~ Arctic Ocean & Icelandic Moss Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Simple ~ Sensitive Bar Soap + Nuage Menthol shaving Oil.
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Boar.
    Face Lather.
    Soap : Haslinger Aloe Vera.
Blade: Euromax Platinum half blade. (2)
    Razor: Yaqi Katana.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint lavender eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./Superdrug ~ Forest Fresh ASL. /Wilko ~ASB.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Haslinger soap provided a wonderful lather for my shave in a short space of time...I really like the Haslinger soaps i have tried so far i consider them another "no bells and whistles shaving soap". The basic plastic packaging wrapper with two sticky labels is nothing elaborate to look at the scent of both the aloe vera & Schafmilch to my nose have a mild clean soapy scent, performance wise both of these soaps are fantastic the slickness protection, and post shave feel are amazingly good, which i consider the most important qualities in a shaving soap or cream.

Another comfortable 2 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Wilko ~ ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

How would you rate Cremo vs. others on the face?

A friend at work is a head shaver. He likes a Dollar Shave Club product called shave butter. I found it viscous and too grease like for me.

After I tested one of his 6 blade cartridge jobs (which I liked ok, as carts go), I got him to try out a DE and an injector. Neither of us became converts though.

I agree, Joe! I’m a big Cremo shave cream fan and own several tubes along with their great cooling balm! Been using it for years.
