Noxzema is no more

I emailed Mark at www.superlather.com just last night to ask him about the rumor that Noxema was discontinuing their cream. He said that he had heard nothing about it, and that he had more on the way. He also said you could email him to reserve some.

I reserved two tubes.

 

Thats good to hear I guess Giovanni over at Razorandbrush has some replenishment issues. Order has already been placed so we will see if all the good reviews are true

 

hey, this is bullshit. On Paydepst's site it say like this: out of stock, more coming, or something like that. Do not order, reserve yours today. How you reserve if it doesn't exist?

I ordered some at 3:00 EST along with some Alt Innsbruck and a sample of LaToja splash and the order went through with confirmation and such. It was in stock but must've sold out. I hope he has it b/c $42.35 has been deducted out of my paypal acct?

 

I hope for you too that he has it. If not, he must to give you back your payment.

 

Pretty reputable guy. I am amazed how fast it sold out? It was sold out a week ago? I just hope they both arrive to me soon Will post in the Haul of course

 

I don't doubt he has a good reputation. I am sure he intends well and will do his best to make the delivery for you.

 

JoAnna, I regret but Noxzema it seems is no longer to exist in the lather tubes. It appears when I finish mine, I'll be in the same position as every other Noxzema lover. :sad023

 

According to a previous post at the top....superlather has more on the way? I hope order wasnt a fluke but havent received a message. I will cancel order if the noxema isnt going to be included....Not paying $7.50 shipping for aftershave. I will attempt to email or pm him to see if he might update us.

 

my last 2 tubes of Noxzema were bought from Giovanni. I don't think he has any more in stock.

Well just to clarify a few things.

That's an ancient post that is linked at the beginning of this thread before I even started Superlather back when I was trying to organise a group buy for the Nox and I was misinformed that it was no longer in production. Everyone would be well advised to read original posting dates before going off half cocked.

IT IS still in production as far as I know and I plan to take delivery from a new supplier after the first of the year. Until I see an official release that it is discontinued I am assuming that it is still in active production. I hasten to remind everyone here of a similar situation about this time last year with the Ingram Blue shaving cream being discontinued that had similar origins. The Noxzema has always been hard to get because the product is not produced in large quantities and even then under special licence from Noxzema.

The Noxzema has been sold out on my website for a few weeks and it has said so for a little while now. It does sell quickly and I always have quite a few reservations to fill when it does come in and that is the reason why general order stocks don't last long. With regards to availability of the Noxzema and issues with fulfillment in the past I have not had the issues that some of you mentioned having.

Shawn the reason PayPal deducted the full amount is because you placed the order for the Nox in spite of the website telling you not to. My shopping cart processes whatever you put in it. My website is explicit about reserving out of stock product if you are interested as I no longer do preorders. If you wish to cancel this order let me know.

Jeff when people place an order for a product that is not in stock I do refund the purchase price and a portion of the shipping if the item is heavy enough to warrant it. In Shawn's case this applies as the Nox is certainly heavy enough. No bullshit need apply and I really don't care much for the tone of a couple of your remarks. You may not have meant anything by it but it certainly doesn't read that way.

Hope that helps. I am accepting reservations if anyone here wishes to make one. As for my integrity there are plenty of people that will attest to that that have dealt with me from this and other forums.

 

Really Joanna? I don't think so. Like I said it is all in how you read it. For instance I wasn't "chiding" anyone about post dates or going off half cocked but it certainly seemed to be what was happening. The post date statement IS accurate. It was an old post. The half cocked remark applied to the series of speculative posts made about me and what I would or would not do regarding the transaction with Shawn. Regarding my remark defending my integrity the "bullshit" statement seemed to necessitate that. For someone that doesn't speak English as his first language he got that down well enough. Wondering how I could reserve something that doesn't exist with a rolleyes icon at the end of one of his other posts is fair play too I suppose. None of that is over the top though I guess.

Regarding the caps on Nox they are notoriously cheap and known to break. Regarding vendors telling you that Nox is no longer being made is a bit like the vendors in the UK telling me that Erasmic cream is no longer being made while Keyline avers that it is although there are some "pipeline" issues. I have had no official word that Nox has been discontinued and I wonder if anyone else truly has. By official I mean the manufacturer not the wholesalers.

As stated previously about this time last year we had a similar uproar over the alleged discontinuance of Ingram Blue as a cream in active production and that statement originated form the same quarter. I'm reserving judgment, taking reservations, and hopefully come the new year I will be able to fulfill those orders. It may very well be out of production. If so when I have confirmation from a reliable source I will post it on my website but since I've been bitten on this sort of thing before I will err on the side of caution.

 

.....had Noxema for sale. I just checked the site and he's out now. Rats.

 

Don't get your hopes up. Manufacturers aren't known for prompt replies.
