I haven't taken a NSD since I threw out my cartridge razor. I love the daily routine and can't wait to shave every morning. I have about 10 creams/ soaps and 6 razors in rotation. Although each day is a little different they are all enjoyable. The only thing I save for the weekend is the Pinaud Clubman due to the no scent policy at work.
I shave every other day and on Sunday before Church. Maybe I'll get addicted like the rest of you and start every day?
I had a bunch of NSD's recently on vacation (24 days of no shaving.) I just used my Scruff Sculptor and kept my stubble maintained. I had one shave with my DE, but used a can of Noxzema Sensitive. It wasn't the best shave, but it did me well for my circumstances. At home, I shave maybe every 3-4 days. I'll try shaving everyday and see how that turns out.
In the before times, I used to hate shaving with disposables, so I shave every other day. Since Ive been DE shaving, I didnt shave for two days waiting for the Postman to bring me my new B-3 Tech. My first test was with a 3 shaved Feather, out of my EJ DE86, Best shave Id had yet. There is a new blade in the B-3 and Im waiting for the morning to shave again
Every other day for me as well, But I sure wished it was every day. Since I found this new "Hobby" I hate the NSD's.
Lots of no shave days these days.... Mainly due to school and work draining me of all my energy. I usually look like my avatar by the time friday comes along.
I think its good to give your face a good day off once a week. But while im not shaving I use St. Ives Timeless Skin. It sounds girly I know haha but it works great to keep your skin moisturized and healthy for that next shave. Note: St. Ives uses all natural ingredients so that's a plus.
1. Days when I don't shave are generally days when I'm being "lazy" or too unmotivated to get out and about. 2. Days when I don't shave are generally days when I don't apply extra care of any sort to my skin, unless I skipped shaving because I managed to tear up my face the preceding day. In that case, I've used Aveeno Active Naturals ASB just to moisturize.
I typically shave every day throughout the work week. I'll sometimes skip a day with no worries. My beard is not particularly fast growing or coarse. My wife says she actually likes me with some stubble sometimes, so I'll hold off to appease her. Sometimes, some of my best shaves are on the third days growth, especially in the winter. I tend to have very dry skin in the winter, even with moisturizing. If I don't shave, I'll still wash with soap, and apply some Every Man Jack after shave balm for moisture.
I don't shave for one to two days on my weekend. I find that the best shaves I have are with about two days growth. For some reason they are smoother and better than any of the other shaves each week. I don't do anything other than wash up in the shower.
Before I began "traditional" shaving I would have to shave 10-12 "MISERABLE" times a month, primarily for work, using a "Trac2"..I kept up this routine for 30+ years...I'd dream about retirement and "NEVER" shaving again!! Then about two years ago I discovered "traditional" shaving and NSD's became a thing of the past...Now I "HATE" not shaving... The longest I've gone without shaving in the last two years is about 2 weeks and that was due to open heart surgery...First thing I did when I got home from from the hospital "SHAVE"!!
At the moment I shave every other day. I am testing out blades, and want them to be tested on something else than just a five o'clock shadow
