Today was a lazy Sunday morning shave. At first I was going to skip this mornings shave but after my shower I looked in the mirror and thought way not. With very little stubble and no prep I chose the MS synthetic and a soft soap. I did two passes using short strokes that left me with another DFS. It's been about 8hrs since my shave and I can now see that I need to pay more attention to the area behind my jaw and below my ears.

With this razor and blade combo, I didn't think I can achieve a BBS but I'm okay with a DFS though. The Wife was making jokes about my after shave last week so I finished off today with just the Alum block as we were planning on spending the day together. Not having any issues with the blade as of yet so the blade is up again for tomorrows shave.

Beautiful fall setting and photo Doug. Delta Echo did a great job on the razor.

Wonderful photo. What do you think of the brush?

Thank you Clint. I'm taking lessons from you and @Douglas Carey. You two are the teacher I am just the student. :smiley respect:

I really like the brush. I would buy it again and not think twice about it. I only have two synthetic brushes: Fank Shaving and the Maseto Shaving I used today. The MS is the much softer brush.

That reminds me of a time we were all traveling out to start a job in North Dakota. A bunch of us were setting up campers when a buddy of mine who had been working in Michigan and I hadn’t seen in over a year pulled in and started leveling his camper. A bunch of us were drinking beer around a picnic table, and I walked over to my buddy to see if he was coming over for one or six. He looked at me and said, “Jared, I haven’t been home in six months. I’m just dropping the camper and running home for the weekend.” He reached into his pickup and came up with a box of roses in one hand and a can of ether in the other. “Easy way or the hard way, I am getting lucky tonight.”

**Disclaimer: Every operator on the pipeline carries ether in his pickup.

Great layout, Doug. That river stays pretty gnarly all year long, huh? It is fun to follow your pics as the seasons change.

    Off handed October:

I got in a few shaves this week straight blades, and I really have been working on using my off side hand. Some progress is being made, but it is a slow go. Partly it stems from just being too tired to care during the week. But I took my time the last couple of days, and finished with a pair of nearly perfect shaves. I have picked up enough skill over the last year to use my off hand, it just takes a lot of focus to clean up with it in a few spots.

I have been traveling with a bunch of little soap samples from Maggard’s. They are a great way to carry some variety of great soaps on the cheap, and without taking up much space.

Hope you all have a good, safe next week.

My question to the story is which is the easy way? Cause ether would make it very easy to get lucky.

That is a good point. I never really thought about that. I sort of cleaned up the language for family consumption. My intent was that the roses were the easy way.
