Personally I've found that very light to almost no pressure during my WTG XTG ATG passes gives the best results, but during touch ups I will use J-Hooking, Gillette sliding, more pressure and even negative pressure, where I let less than the full weight of the razor rest on my skin. Combining this, with skin stretching is how I get BBS more often than not. It's a matter of experience, knowing what technique works on what area of my neck and jaw.
Yeah. To say that the Cards haven't played to their potential is an understatement. Although historically the team with the best regular season record doesn't win the trophy in the end. So really it's not a total shocker.
As a lifelong Georgia boy and Braves fan, it's hard to pull for the Cardinals or Mets, but there is at least one common thread. One of my favorites, Joe Torre.
My favorite story involving Joe Torre is during his last season with Atlanta he was injured and the Braves needed a catcher, so they traded for Bob Uecker. After Joe healed they kept Uecker on to catch Phil Niekro, because Torre hated catching the knuckleball. A reporter asked Uecker the secret to catching Niekro and he said: I wait til the ball stops rolling and pick it up.
Kerry, I hear alot of positive things about Rockets. What's the appeal? What razor do they compare to? Or are they unique?
Gotta love the Uecker stories! Casey Stengel used a similar line as the manager of the 1962 expansion team NY Mets. His first pick of the draft was a no name catcher, to which a reporter asked why? Casey, deadpanning as usual - Because if you don't have a catcher, the ball will just go all the way to the backstop.
Uecker said he knew his career was over when he walked into the clubhouse and manager Billy Hitchcock looked up and said, "no visitors allowed"
My first Braves game was 83, Pascual Perez versus Fernando Valenzuela, in the sunshine at the old Fulton County stadium. Torre was the manager.
Preseason NBA in 10 minutes - Denver at Golden State, coverage on NBA TV I love pro ball. (@RaZorBurn123 )
I spent many an afternoon or evening sitting in the stands of FCS. I've never been to the Ted. Maybe I'll take in a few games at the new stadium in Kennesaw, as it's a lot closer to home. The Braves class A Sally league team plays here in Rome now. It's fun to go watch the guys who will be in the big show in couple of years.
Minor league ball is a blast. I saw most of this team's games that year. Check out the names. Many guys on this team won the title with Oakland a few years later.
I'm not the biggest basketball fan but it's growing on me. Since abandoning the former NFL, now the National Drama League, I've paid more attention to B-ball and have gotten into it more each season. I'll still watch a hockey game over basketball, but compared to a few years ago I'm absolutely a raving fan now.
Totally agree with the minor league fun thing. Great names, some of the greatest food ever thought of for ball games and the fan promotions usually rock. Plus the players are fighting to get to the next level so the level of effort is off the charts in most cases. Awesome stuff. When I lived in Huntsville I went to a few Stars games and had a blast, as well as several Channel Cats hockey games. Those guys made the arena shake!
