Razor: Rhodium plated 1937 Sheraton Blade: Astra SP Brush: StrongSet restored with a Whipped Dog Black badger knot Soap: Menthol Monday Proraso Green Bowl: Captain's Choice Following the other OC TTO razors above, for today's shave I got out one of my Sheratons. The shave started out sounding ominous. The feedback was much louder than I remember for this razor. It sounded like a single edge! I didn't have a particularly heavy beard growth so I was thinking I was doing something wrong. Second and third pass were quieter and felt good, but I was thinking the end result would be bad (i.e. painful). Well I was wrong. The result was a nice, clean DDS with no alum or AS feedback whatsoever. I then remembered why I like the Sheraton. HERM
Today Gillette Single Ring (1917) always a solid performer. It felt a bit small to me today. Its been a while since i used it.

SOTD OCtober 3rd Cooper MonoBilt Voskhod Satin Tip The Purest Blades Grim Smolder soap and AS Good morning friends. This morning I was reminded why the MonoBilt was one of my favorite shavers. I decided to bowl lather this morning so that I could bask in the luxury of consistently creamy lather for all the passes. Also this was the first time trying the Voskhod, it felt a little rough for the first stroke on each side of the blade but after that it was buttery smooth and impressively sharp. The only OC I have is the PAA Bakelite OC slant, and I use it most every day. So it will be my razor of choice for the month.
