    Last 3 shaves of October all with OC’s. The first two were with samples to review, which may close out my soap review thread. Today’s was Hallows. C’mon guys it’s Halloween. How could it be anything but Hallows?! I don’t have the AS, so I went with Lavanille to go for that whole headless horseman kind of vibe.     Thanks Doug. I like it a lot. Scrubby but not scritchy. Soft but not fluffy and with lots of backbone. Definitely different than my other brushes. What’s not to like?! I hope you are enjoying yours as much as I’m enjoying mine.

    Well, boys and girls and all the ships at sea, OCtober is coming to a close. That brings us to Halloween, or Samhain for some. The night the spirits are closest to the living and kids are as close to candy as they can get their parents to allow! Since I possess a haunted razor (which is better than being possessed by a razor) I was dared to do a candlelight shave on Halloween night. So, who am I to say no? The setup actually fit into the spirit of the day very well. The haunted razor, a Frankensoap and a "were" Wolf brush. The Sharp Star blade? Scariest blade in all shavedom. Seriously....mail them all to me or one of the other volunteers.

    So, you ask, what's it like shaving by only candlelight? Looks a bit like this.

    The two candles were actually a gift from @Bama Samurai as part of our housewarming when we moved so they fit in well. Definitely adds some "mood" to the room. I did three complete passes for the baby smooth finish. Very nice, and Matthew was quite calm and happy on his special night. Until the last touch up on my right jaw when he took a bit of a nip. Nothing that alum wouldn't clear up but he had his fun. And with that........the night is complete.

    If this was the beginning of your new year with Samhain tonight I hope it was a blessed one. If you took the kids out for candy - I hope they got all the stuff you like so you can steal it! Or if you were the one handing out candy, I hope you had enough left over to relive your childhood as well. Have a great night everyone!
