thank you Jason.it seems to work ok.i am the least experienced at knowing what a great brush is..it loaded,lathered and painted on the lather without being scritchy..but all my brushes seem to do that,a couple are floppier when loading but i use them with creams...i do like to use boars for a face lather.they just seem like the right tool for the job..imo..

O.K. I could not wait till in the morning to try out the new Above the Tie aluminum "H" plates. I have not shaved since Sunday and I completed the first pass with the OC. The OC took care of business. I completed the second pass with the SB plate and left it at that except for a few touch ups. The razor handles very well and seems nicely balanced with the stainless steel top cap and with the Weber Bulldog handle. The "H" plates remind me of the Karve "E" plate. There is a little blade feel but not in a bad way and the razor is smooth. I did get one slight weeper and the alum was a little warm. I think I just need to spend more time with this razor and get it dialed in. Not bad for the first shave and I can see it improving from here. I dont know if the "H" plates would make for a daily driver but I shave every other day so we will see how they work out. Stay tuned for some future ATT shaves.

Thanks Clint, I really like the look to. I was tempted to go with the stainless plates but I am glad I went with the aluminum. I like the weight and the look of the anodized aluminum. It is combo that I have not seen before. It just works. Take care and keep an empty bottle in your car....you never know.

You are very welcome, Ken. I might add that I prefer my lather to be voluminous, but this morning, I didn't have much time to get the lather at its best. I realize there are some soaps, like Stirling, that can give you a slick with minimal lather and still get a good shave.
