I also have the early silver plated traditional baseplate version. When it outshaved my Timeless 95 in a side by side I sold the Timeless

    OCtober shave #4
    20211010_192843.jpg

    Razor: GEM MMOC
    Blade: GEM PTFE (2)
    Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo
    Soap: Arko
    Aftershave: Proraso Green

Another 'rule' shave completed with my favourite gear. Three (well... Two and a half) passes completed. The end result was, as always, excellent. These GEM blades are bloody marvellous on the second shave!

Recently, I've been looking to get hold of another (brass with bumps) MMOC to act as a backup in case anything should happen to my #1. No luck thus far! Interestingly, there are a range of GEM style razors available here in the UK under the Ever-Ready brand name, but nowhere near as many GEM razors. Were GEM only really produced in the US?

Just FYI, this brush goes on a holiday sale in a little over 8 hours... $38 instead of $40. On AliExpress.

:signs001: Joe....The Cella Blue (Bio) is well worth trying out..I would recommend you giving it a try out ,when giving the opportunity to do so. It's performance is very good , the post shave feel is excellent. Scent wise it's floral, spicy/woodsy to my nose...However it's scent is the complete opposite to the red-tub of Cella (tallow) (scent-wise).

1931 silver Wardonia/Treet Falcon/Khalifa. With this razor and blade pairing I'm promoting the Wardonia to full Amazeballs 5 status. Completely comfortable, single lather BBS, no third party pickups. Truly amazing design, the anti-Wolfman for it's different is better approach to blade clamping. [IMG]

Menthol Monday during October open comb. :)

    Gem MMOC
    Gem SS blade (fresh)
    Razorock 400 synthetic brush
    Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite
Soap Commander Honor shave balm (mentholated).

Ignore the picture. The picture was supposed to include Snake Bite and not MWF. I grabbed the wrong box this morning but it is Monday morning. :scared011:

Why have I neglected this razor for so long? This thing delivers an outstanding shave. I did not shave this weekend but the MMOC had no problem. It went through the growth like Congress goes through money. :happy102:

Three glorious passes with no blood loss.

    Take care everyone.

My Chris Columbus Day shave was the closeout of a trifecta of Phoenix AA Bay Rum(Boomtown)soap, and Clubman Special Reserve aftershave. I had the Stoylin "Pro-Handle" brush for this one. Once again a real nice shave. I'm going to have to put Phoenix further up in which is my favorite shave soap. It does the trick for you if you shave properly. I made that same comment earlier about Central Texas Soaps. One of these days I'll rank all the ones I have for best This will be hard. Anyway, 0:45 ro load the Phoenix onto the Stoylin brush. A "red polkadot" somehow showed up on N. Porcupine Alley(which has become a very sensitive area for me these days). Otherwise no problems anywhere. Another tricky spot has been Southwest Cactus Nation(neck, right side). I got it done this morning, but what a sharp "Cactus" down there! More so there than in any other part of Cactus Nation. The Clubman Special Reserve was a nice finish. I just ordered a new bottle a few weeks ago. Super Duper Excellent.

    Shavette Shave # 150

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: RenRen Shavette
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
    Lather: WSP Blackbeard (Rustic)
    Aftershave: Stirling Black Cherry
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

I have not used another of the WSP products I. A while. The Rustic formula easily whips up into a wonderfully slick lather. The scent profile is as follows according to the WSP webpage:
To create Blackbeard, we started with tobacco, then added some cherry, vanilla, patchouli, cloves, and other spices.
I did my usual three pass shave with with very close results. This was the fifth shave with this blade therefore it will hit the bin. The Stirling Black Cherry splash paired nicely with the soap.
Below is a picture of my little man waving his Terrible Towel at yesterday’s Steelers game.

Here was this morning's shave lineup:

    prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(Fresh Wave)in shower
    shave-Stoylin (Sandpiper)
    brush-Maggard (Marble Handle, 24 mm)
razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot + DisposeABLE
    A.S. Stoylin(Sandpiper)
    Fragrance-Pierre Cardin.

    And now, the review-

One big Knick got in the way of what should have been a top-ranked shave. Actually, there was another issue-an embarrassing miss down at North Cactus Nation, near the ingrown hairs. I'll get it tomorrow. Otherwise, fine shave along the cheeks&sideburns, and at Porcupine Alley(both sides). I again had to be extra careful at the edges. Maybe growing another mustache there would solve the problem. But do I want to? Do pigs fly? The Sandpiper A.S. felt good-always does. A few dabs of Pierre Cardin cologne to finish. Super Duper Excellent.
