Today, I decided to bring out Stirling Christmas Eve SS because it's Fall and why not? I used my Rocky brush to whip up a great Stirling lather. I have never had a bad lather with Stirling. I know there are those that look down on this brand because the scents are too synthetic and inexpensive soaps can't be good. Folks, if you have not tried Stirling, then do so by purchasing 1 oz samples. Trust me, the stuff is just flat out top tier for me. Anyway, the Christmas Eve scent really reminds me of Christmas at my grandma's house. Ah, the memories are still so vivid in the recesses of my mind.
I picked out my trusty Dovo Shavette armed with a brand new Personna Headshaper blade. Truthfully, I could have been pleased with a one passer, but the 2nd pass gave me a fantastic result. I got a BBS without bloodshed or irritation. It really was a masterful shave because brand new Personna haishaper blades are wicked sharp and I needed to be on my A+ game this morning. The alum gave me very little feedback so I knew this was a close, comfortable shave.
I applied the delightful matching aftershave first and then the witch hazel. Realizing, I went out of my postshave order, I decided to finish the post with a second splash of the aftershave. I just have to say what a wow shave that I received. Under my old rating system, this shave was a 99 / A+. Have an awesome day, men!

Very good session, Paul. When I shavette/straight shave, 2 passes is all I need. I would think that would apply to you as well.

I guess we're gettin' close to the holidays, huh? My problem with the Christmas Eve is that it seems like I'd only want to use it as Christmas arrives(maybe I'd devote myself to it for the week between Christmas and New Year's.)

I understand. However, I will use any soap at any time of the year. I have used Christmas Eve in the summer and I enjoyed it because the scent is so downright fantastic! Listen, I usually use spring/summer scents and fall/winter scents at the appropriate times, but I am free to use whatever I want at anytime of the year.

Awesome Fat Friday shave. I had to grab the Clubman for some reason this morning. The Colibri is a great razor and a joy to have in the den along with #011.

My wife and I are headed to Pennsylvania in the morning for a week. The leaves are suppose to be at their peak. :happy108: Man....I need a vacation.

I ask my father in law if he needed any shave stuff and he said he lost his shave soap. :signs002:How do you loose Soap Commander? I'll be fixing him up with some Stirling Executive Man and splash. I'm also surprising him with a Delrin brush and some blades.

I'll share my traveling kit with y'all later and I cannot wait to get into the Fall scent Heritage by Soap Commander during the trip. I've been saving it for the trip and man has it been hard to resist.

    Y'all take care!

I want to say thank you to you guys for your good thoughts and prayers during my extended illness earlier this month. I have been eating too well this week and that's a great sign that I am over it after 1 week of having a normal temp. I had eggs on a blueberry bagel with coffee and OJ this morning. Tonight, I had a double hamburger deluxe with the onion rings, french fries, lettuce and tomato. Normally, I don't eat that way, but it has been nice to see that I am getting some solid nourishment this entire week.
Also, I had to be tested for Covid by my district today. Yes, they brought in an independent contractor to take the nasal swabs. I won't know the results for a few days. I have to say that getting samples from me was not bad at all. Whatever the results are from this test, I am ok with it. Yes, like I really have a choice.
