I will be continue to use this wonderful setup through the end of the month.
I really made a nice, creamy lather with Danny's brush. I only needed one pass, but of course, 2 passes are my minimum for a shave. I am just amazed how well these hairshaper blades do an awesome job. I know that I have many great shaves with them, but this year, I really have improved my technique using them with this shavette. I did not get any cuts or irritation during my shave. Did get some alum feedback, but it wasn't an ooh, ouch moment. Witch hazel and matching aftershave topped off this nice evening shave. Have a nice evening!

I like the Stirling Bay Rum. Some people don't care for the clovey note, but I don't mine. PAA, Ariana and Evans and some other brands I would not buy for personal reasons. Glad you are adjusting well to military life.

Nice touchup shave Gary. I have heard of Evelyn and Crabtree soaps. They had a nice rep. It is a shame it has been discontinued.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

The Eco Warrior soap bar provided a wonderful slick lather rubbing it directly into my stubble like a shave stick, then started to build up a lather with my damp Semogue 1470 adding water to the tips of the brush to get the lather to the consistency that i prefer.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Wilko Lemon & Black Pepper Body Butter.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.;)

As always, great shave Barry! Next month Gary and I are doing a focus. I believe he will be using one of his Techs and I will be using my Van der Hagen safety razor. The good thing about a focus is that you are not committed to a gear for the entire month as if you're doing a rule. Doing a focus will improve your shave with one of your less frequently used razors. I just thought I put the suggestion of doing a focus out there for you and others in keeping what this thread is about. Of course, I also want to say you have the freedom to do whatever you decide.

A cool morning here on LI. SWMBO has informed me that she would like me to turn on the fireplace tonight to heat the house. If it was up to me, since the house is currently at 65 degrees, I would wait. Then again…:eatdrink013:

I had a very nice shave with this razor although it was not as close as those previously. I had to do a little buffing. I believe it is time for a refresh. Today marks the 40th shave with this razor.

I did my usual three pass. Today, unlike yesterday, I did not have any mishaps. Just goes to show you that the technique and focus usually will trump a mishap any day.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Fine Throwback Thursday shave this morning. 2 passes. No Knicks/cuts. 0:40 to load the Weekend Rodeo onto the Crown King brush. That came in increments of 0:35 and 0:05. I've always been pleased with my Central Texas Soaps pucks. Lotsa leather in the Rodeo choice. The Crown King spread the Rodeo soap around in good fashion., allowing for a real nice shave all around. I forgot how "sticky" the aftershave feels upon application. It'll calm down though. This aftershave is my only CTS aftershave(I have 3 CTS soaps). Leather upon leather for this one. Outta This World Excellent.
