Neat story Charlie! My mom cut my hair until I moved out after highschool. I don't remember my parents ever using perfume, cologne, aftershave, or anything similar. My sisters had some cheap perfumes and I purchased a cheap cologne from a door-to-door salesman, but we used them sparingly. I'm pretty sure my parents associated cologne and perfume with hippies trying to mask the smell of drugs and alcohol.

Fun fact! My middle name is Ezra. It's a family name. My wife's name is Ann Marie. She's a dairy farmer's daughter. The last 3 generations in my family have been named Ezra and married a dairy farmer's daughter named Marie. My son is also named Ezra. Anyone know any dairy farmers with a teenage daughter named Marie?

Lol! I don't think that I would pull that statement off! My 5 foot seven and under 180 pound frame would betray me.

The best of the best, but since the devastating hurricanes, prices have exploded.

Up next, St. Johns. This is a good price.

Excellent alternative albeit with less sillage than the original and sadly unavailable Dominica.

If clove isn't your thing, this is a terrific Bay Rum. As a matter of fact, I just ordered another bottle for myself. :)

Way too early for us too, Joe! Average temp here for this time of year is 12C. It is scheduled to be -7C here this weekend.

    Very original work, indeed.
I have never used Talc before, Joe, but do have a bottle of vintage Old Spice Talc now. Any suggestions for how and when to use it?

Always leave them guessing, Joe. A simple “I’m sorry about the smell, young lady. Grizzly Bear guts really do have an unpleasant odor when they bleed out from a knife wound” (and then get up and saunter slowly out of the room) would have sufficed.

Andrew, I love to hear stories like yours. No doubt, the experiences you shared with your Dad have impacted you and your family in a big way.

Wonderful memories, Evan. My Mom had a single bottle of perfume that I bet lasted 25 years. That was the sum total of fragrances used in our house.

My Dad would have teased me to no end if I used cologne or aftershave growing up.

I'm sure we have some Marie's around here. Do you think Ezra would mind if she chewed tobacco and was handy with a huntin' knife and a shot gun?

Thanks Charlie! I appreciate stories like yours as well. Hard work is good for the soul.

Regarding "Danger Match Making Services" we're 100% good with knifes, shotguns, potato cannons, improvised explosives, and graphic discussions about puss filled infections at the diner table (I've eaten a lot of meals with dairy farmers), but the tobacco may be an issue. ;)

    Brush : Wilkinson Sword Boar.
    Face Lather.
Lather : Wilkinson Sword Classic Soap Bowl.
    Blade: Mers ~ SuperShave X Platinum. (2)
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Premium TTO.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade peppermint Lavender, + eucalyptus, Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./Denim Original ASL./ Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

    Greetings,

A no-frills shave set up to finish my shaving week off.

My shaving set up this morning was absolutely brilliant!....The vast majority of my shave set ups are very in-expensive. It just goes to show that you don't need expensive shaving items to get a socially acceptable shave. It's all down to learning your technique & gaining shaving confidence. The WS Premium TTO/Mers ~ SuperShave X Platinum blade duo performed wonderfully mowing through my stubble with ease.Another pleasurable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.
