Thanks Danny!! Seem to be a good fit for this razor. I used the 5 pack that came with it way back when I first got it but forgot what they were like. Not the best blade I've ever used but still pretty darn good for a Chinese blade.

Very nice, Gary. I prefer the Gillettes without end caps. I like seeing the gearing mechanism of the TTO. The knurling is also superb.

Hey Randy @BaylorGator, this one may be a record. Not something to aspire to, I realize:

Love the props again, Joe! I tried today too, but your stuff looks like it was made to hold the gear.
Awesome! What an original name on the software, Jim. New? Scent?
Very nice results, Clint. Do you think using the soap regularly and not letting it dry out between uses is making a difference?
Love the Rubberset, Gary. Is that soap the same base as the one you sent me? Sorry, I know very little about A&E soaps.
Following this with interest for sure, Danny. Interesting to see if the different Karve plates make a difference.
Great history on the Razor, Jeff. The Peppermint Oil would be nice in that quality base, I would think.
That Dubl Duck brush again! That is such an iconic shape and colour combo. The AV bottle isn’t far behind it, either.
A series of great shaves, Andrew. I was wondering where you’ve been.
The YaYa has such a neat grain pattern. I really like using it. I didn’t have much of it, though. Fairly unusual to find, actually.
Are you comparing the two Dolomitis, Pierpaolo?
    Congrats, Gary!
Nice combo, Patrick. The Booster is simple, quality stink.

thank you Joe.one of the few gillette razors with it's own name.many gillettes were named after the case/set during these times. .the 49-50 executive razor never came in another case with a different name..

thank you Jason.the A&E kaizen is a new soap base that is very good.however A&E soap bases were very good to begin with.they outperformed many higher end soaps before this upgrade..

thank you Joseph.the Executive is a U.S version of the 2nd gen brit aristocrat but with the American diamond stamped baseplate.think U.S. gold aristocrat of the late 40s early 50s but with an English handle and rhodium plated. It was only available in 1949 and 1950 during the Christmas season as far as i know and was a $10.00 set.It was replaced by the Gillette President set..it's basically your 47 superspeed with a brit handle.

Thank you, Jason! I just didn’t have a good chance to check in, but did take the quick pics before each shave so I could post them when I logged on today.
