One other thing, R-C or anyone else...do you guys recommend I clean up my razor after every shave or is a good rinsing good enough? I know this sounds like a silly question, but I didn't know if I needed to take the blade out and clean underneath. Thanks!

No need to do that. Do it when changing blade.

I wish I had known how to shave this way earlier too, but it kinda makes it sweeter to discover how good it is, with all the help of awesome and knowledgeable people.

:signs046: to the addiction uhhh club Derhey. IMO the fact that by comparison so few shavers use "traditional" shaving is proof positive of the power of hype and advertising. I bet if some rich guy who could afford it would advertise and hype up "traditional" shaving it would overtake cart shaving in a year or two. ;)

I like to rinse the razor under running water then use a squeeze bottle of alcohol on it. That kills anything that may be lurking in the crevices. It also displaces the water and quickly evaporates leaving the razor clean and dry.

That's a good idea. I don't like the idea of water just lurking underneath the hood. ;-)

Hi Derhey, and welcome to TSD!
Seems you are having a great start!
    I
I always rinse, take the razor apart, dry with a towel and hand strop the blade so it is clean and dry. It's a YMMV thing (Your Milage May Vary). Many things in shaving are YMMV.

I actually received a block of that today and will try it after tomorrow's shave.

Love the alum block! Provides some feedback but also tightens pores and soothes the skin. Love it.

Do not store the blade in the razor after you have cleaned it. This helps prevent moisture being trapped as well as eliminating the possibility of dissimilar corrosion.

After my shaves I loosen the head, rinse and just blow out the water with my wife's hair dryer. Then whenever I do a blade change I'll take the razor apart(it's a 3 piece) clean it completely and polish it a bit with a soft cloth. :)
