Schone / Chinese Wilkinson. Smooth, efficient. Hard to fault.

 

Do you have a regular OC FaTip? If so how do they compare?

I have a Mk1 Piccolo and the Gentile. The Schone is much smoother than the Mk1 but comparable in efficiency. My understanding is that the Schone head differs from the Mk2 Piccolo/Grande only in the number/width of the teeth. There should not be much difference at all.

 

Oh and alignment and finish are quite good. Kind of ridiculous at about $23.

 

Fun shave with the Grand Self Lubricating Razor. I found it mild like most have said, but a very comfortable shave after 2 passes. I’m a fan of the looks and the performance.

Schone-SLOC, Barbaros Bohin handle. The SLOC cap increases cap span a bit but the no gap situation is retained. More aggressive in feel, but still smooth. Chinese Wilkinson. Almost no clean ups necessary after the usual two passes. Wow.

 

I like the way the Schone looks better then the FaTip models

I have a Piccolo but I don't know if it's an mk1 or 2. How do you tell the difference?

The Mk2 cap is the same width as an Old Type. The Mk1 is much narrower.

Hmm curious, the cap looks narrow but like my Gentile your Piccolo has the Fatip logo on the bottom plate, my Mk1 has none.

 

Was the only modification between the two versions the top cap?

No, bottom plate was slightly different as well, not as obviously as the top cap.
