Open Comb Central - The Place With Real Teeth (No R41, Hybrid or Closed Combs)

Just found this thread. Great place. I've grown to love a good old OC. Here's a few of my OC.







Had to take the R41 pic off, just saw that you didn't want any here.

 

This looks like a fun thread. I have lots of open combs I can share. Let's start with my latest. I need to get a sharper blade in it before taking it for a test drive.

 

5/23/15 - Razosabato!!!

Gonna be using Open combs all week. Got this one a while back in the wild at an antique store for really cheap. Came complete in a kakhi set with the mirror. Missing the blade holder though. Very good shape.

Boy oh boy. That OC Damaskeene. A beauty. I gotta get me one of those!!!

 

I've got the majority of the Gillette OC's. Single ring, old type, new sc and LC, and will be getting a OTT OC one of these days.
Also have a Merkur 41 and Micromatic.

Question: What are some other OC's that I should be looking at to add to my collections.?
Guess I should add - I'll be using them.

My favorite OC out of mine is a rhodium plated SC New.
I'm already looking for an OC Damaskeene.

 

And what a great shaver it is - it takes canine, pathology and carpet blades

Just wondering, do they shave about like the SC or LC New with standard handle?

 

The NEW DeLuxe is the most aggressive of the Gillettes, and the New Improved behind that.

That brush reminds me of CC Deville.

 

Lovely razor, the small crack won't effect the shave post a pic when you get it

This is a Head off of a 1936 New Norfolk Set (Chrominum). Good pairing. Pulled off a BBS.
