Revelation razor, Bic Chrome Platinum, shave 6


This is a French made adjustable razor. Adjustment is in the spring loaded shoulders. Handle has an alignment mark and was adjusted approximately 1 revolution from being fully tightened down. Was the shave a revelation? The answer yes it was since at this setting I've never used a razor this mild and efficient in one package and I've shaved with a lot of razors. Nothing I've used comes close to this one at this setting in the mild spectrum. Not only a BBS finish but glass like finish.

This is a French made adjustable razor. Adjustment is in the spring loaded shoulders. Handle has an alignment mark and was adjusted approximately 1 revolution from being fully tightened down. I decided to push blade past the 6 shave limit I usually adhere to. Shave was almost a BBS finish everywhere except under the chin this time reminding me why I usually don't use these blades over 6 shaves. The blade is still usable and I will go one more shave on the opposite side of the blade at a slightly higher adjustment to see how the razor performs.

This is a French made adjustable razor. Adjustment is in the spring loaded shoulders. Handle has an alignment mark and was adjusted approximately 1 revolution from being fully tightened down on prior shaves, this shave opened up another 1/4 turn. It still on the mild side but more efficient than the prior shaves. Next time this razor comes up in the rotation I am going to push a blade as far as it can go. I am 2 shaves over the 6 shave limit but don't want to go any further with this blade since I didn't start the blade out in the same razor. End result BBS finish achieved.
