Was all set up for a straight razor shave but started running behind schedule.....
So, stropped and picked up the trusty Valet Auto Strop with the carbon steel Feather SE blade for a quick double pass shave.



Made it to my meeting on time!

I had my first open comb shave today with a Gillette New Long Comb. It was an ok shave, I’m assuming mostly because of the blade I chose. I had a weird day and decided to order 100 Treet “Black Beauty” carbon steel blades so I was using one of those. I didn’t get a close shave but I’m assuming next time will be better using a better blade that I’m familiar with.

My Gillette Raised Flat Bottom that was bought cheap with a broken tooth and was reworked (Grinder, File and sandpaper) into an SE razor for Half DE Blades. A&E Rèvolution has been retired now. RIP you great soap with a great scent..........Have a great day Everyone !!

I know I'm a broken record but I'm convinced that the Brass bird is one of the most beautiful razors ever. I will own one someday.
