Razor: Gillette New Long comb, fat handle + Canadian variant-Mfg 1930's N.D.Codes, mid range, a lot of copper for what ever reason on top cap & handle & the rest is brass. I get really close shaves & have to be a little more careful with this razor. I have another one & it shaves better because of the ball end handle feel IMO.
Blade: GSB(5) Excellent blade, sharp & smoooth with good longevity. One of my favorites.
Soap: Speick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities. You can get a great creamy lather if you play with it a little longer by applying to face and just paint and scrub a little after bowl lather loading.( I just press some in the bowl)
Brush: Yaqi Atlantis 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer lotion balm (scentless)
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + some irritation + 2 blemish weepers= excellent shave with my Gillette New OC with a GSB.

Razor: Razorock Old type open comb-Mfg 2015,milder range, have not used this beauty since the last OCtober possibly, put in a Kai blade and man this baby perform today. The Kai blade cranked it up a nice notch to my sweet spot for shaving, very comfortable shave. Use to be my old travel razor with a standard blade, hard to nick your self when in the tropical climates.
Blade : Kai SS (3) excellent blade, sharp & Smooth with excellent longevity. Extra wide by 4.5/1000 of a inch per side than a standard Gillette Astra blade. Gives milder razors a nice boost in efficentcy or for those who just enjoy blade feel in any razor.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum with sage & cedar wood, nice scent + great lather qualities. Have been using a water mister lately when mixing lathers and this has helped keeping this soap from being so airy IMO. Nice soap regardless.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel cleanse + Ogallala Bayrum with sandal wood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer lotion balm(scentless)
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my RR old type OC with a Kai blade.

Enjoyed my first shave with the aluminum OC baseplate from ATT's "ugly stuff" sale. Very light scratches on the bottom of the baseplate do not bother me, and they do not even show up in the photo. (The white streak on the right side of the plate is a photo flash reflection). This OC plate steps up the blade feel and efficiency over the copper plate from last night.

Work accomplished and new water heater installed yesterday for my parents. Nice shave this morning and while the Fat is slick and leaves the face feeling GREAT I just don't love it or reach for it much. On the fence with it on whether to keep it around as I reduce inventory. It's not the soap, it's me.............sounds like an imminent breakup. 1st pass with the Sextoblade re-scaled just because I had an itch to scratch with it and 2 passes with the Kenyon. Have a great day Folks !

Razor: Gillette old type + tech fat handle- Mfg 1920's, great open comb, this razor has thousands of shaves shown by the nickel wear, previous owner enjoyed this razor a lot like myself. Keeper to remind me to be humble and grateful.
Blade: Gillette Astra Superior stainless, Sharp & smooth. Excellent blade.
Soap: Razorock blue barber, mild scent with excellent lather qualities(misted).
Brush: Yaqi Artic sky 24mm syn, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Blue barber with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer lotion balm + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gillette old type +Astra SS blade.
