Just acquired my first true OC a few months ago. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth and mild it shaved.

BTW, it's a 1921 Gillette Big Fellow.

I have a 2 ball end New OC razors. One Canadian looks brass and the other USA looks like it's gold plated. Came in a metal Gillette box that I have never seen also but is stamped Gillette on the outside in gold bottom right.

The case belongs to the Gillette Sheraton. Don't have the matching razor.

 

I think that looks like a New. Maybe a long comb, but it's hard to tell in the pic. Nice.

 

It's definitely a "NEW LC" just wondered if the case matched. It came with it but was never sure.

 

Got this last week. Phoenix double open comb. Old spice mug with original soap wood bowl and soap from Germany and a boar brush from Austria.

1930's Gillette New,
Polsilver Super Iridium blade.
Vintage Wm. Marvy #2 Boar brush.
Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap.
Nivea post shave balm.
Vintage English Leather as splash.
Vintage English Leather cologne.

It was a two pass DFS.

Hello everyone! I am posting tonight to share that I have discovered a wonderful OC razor head/handle combination. The handle I scored from Amazon, it is a DeFitch de13096 razor set sold as a handle. The heads that come with the razor handle are defective and should not be used. The head I chose to use is a Maggards V2OC head. Here is a link to the handle-

Needless to say I feel this combination is one of the best balanced razors I have possibly ever used. I achieved full BBS in two passes. The blade used in this shave was a Crystal Stainless. This was my first use of this brand of blade also. All in all I had a fantastic shave tonight, and I can't praise this head and handle combo enough. Try it and you will understand. I have no doubt this is now the best shaving modern head/handle combination I have used yet. Here's the photo-

Thanks for the review and info Alan. Your combo sure looks sharp. I just received the same head from Maggard and will be pairing it with the Maggard MR5 handle. Glad it's working awesome for you buddy!

My first shave with the Bunny was very good. The razor lived up to the hype. It is a very efficient razor. I used the Mild comb and ended up Dolphin smooth. I look forward to the next while evaluating this razor.
It is nice to have a modern Injector that is also an open comb.
