Brush: J&T® black walnut / APShaveCo synthetic STF 26 mm.
Shaving soap: Pré de Provence.
Razor: ATT SE2.
Blade: Kai Titan Mild (1).
After shave: Osage Rub.

 

I don't often post SOTD's, but today's was an extra enjoyable experience. I had lots of time to take it slow and enjoy the ride. The Commodore whipped the Proraso green into enough cool whip for three passes, but I would only need two and a little touch up. The R41 with GSB on its third shave just glided across my face on every stroke of each pass. I could tell as I rinsed that I had BBS almost everywhere with one trouble spot at DFS+. I am pretty much free of the alum block these days when using familiar gear. The Proraso splash produced no sting at all. No burn, no weepers, no nicks. Exceptional.

This is my remaining Gillette #44 RFB New set. I used a 1948 Gillette Blue Blade with a Proraso super lather. Proraso cream/soap combo. What fantastic results. DFS in two passes. I called it good there. Have a great night everyone!

PAA Bakelite open comb slant.

Just got this guy as a birthday gift new to OCs and slants plan on using this guy after my 30 day focus is up any tips would be appreciated.
Currently using a Murkur 38c have used a flare tip SS and Edwin Jagger DE89.

Boss-Mastiff-Mariner-SABI/Jaws-Pearl-Cadet Frankenrazor (L) v R41 (R). R41 smoother, Franken more aggressive and first impression is that it is more efficient. R41 definitely easier ATG on my head but Franken perfectly viable. Never had a razor smooth the moustache area near BBS in one WTG pass. The Pearl cap can be funky and impair alignment, the Boss cap with the Pearl OC baseplate works better. Will have to try the Muhle cap, I expect that would decrease aggressiveness quite a bit.

Hi everyone. Here's my OC SOTD for today with my 1919 Old Type from a Pocket Edition that my spouse and I put together about 4 years ago. The razor set was completely trashed when I received it. I think it was found in an old shed in Michigan. I got it on eBay. Here we go then-

Yesterday: Pearl OC baseplate + R41 top cap. Good fit, with Feather blade, 24 hours on can say closest shave to date.
