My apologies if this is way off topic ...

Anyway, my youngest daughter sometimes complains about her ear piercings being a bit inflammated. I have suggested her to disinfect them with a bit of aftershave splash on a cotton ball. However, I am not sure if that was a good advice, in hindsight ...

Does anyone know if the alcohol content of typical AS splashes is high enough to disinfect ear piercings? And would a splash like Swiss Pitralon contain ingredients that can be harmful for an irritated skin?

    Thanks!

I doubt it'd hurt. Everyone should have isopropyl in the home though. I'd probably use Neosporin myself.
