Ouch!

Somehow I managed to slice my upper lip while shaving this evening. The styptic did no good, so I'm applying little bits of toilet paper. That isn't doing much good either. Hurts too. A stupid mistake.

 

Ouch! Hope it heals quickly.

 

A dab of Tabasco should work well.

At least you didn't pick one of the... you know.. worthwhile hot sauces out there. Might as well use Tabasco for SOMETHING.

 

In over a year of shaving this way, I'd yet to slice my lip. I have a nasty looking toilet paper-enhanced clot on my lip now. Looks gross, but at least the bleeding stopped. I'll leave that on over night and see what happens in the morning. Other than that I was having a great shave. I had a fresh Topaz (from India) loaded into my Lord razor. I was using my just-cleaned C&E BBB with some HBS soap. It was nice and relaxing...then zap!

 

Seems like that is the way it always happens. You go week, months and everything is fine, then BAM out of nowhere, you've got a gusher!
