Thank you for taking the time to make it. Absolutely stunning!! It's beautiful. Is it a regular occurrence in your area? I need to get out of the big city! Thank you again. Kerry
My goodness Luke it's beautifully done and the passing traffic lights really add to the experience! It's precious! Great job!!!
You are most welcome! Right now it's not too regular. This is the first good showing of the lights in about a month or so. The lights are made as a result of the sun's solar flares that are directed at earth. The colors come from sun particles attaching to a gas in the atmosphere, as the particles burn up. Right now the sun is in the middle of its 10 year quiet season, so the lights don't occur as much as they could. If there is a decent flare, we normally see them! But the closer to the poles you are, the better the chance, as that is where they start (and travel down from there).
Wow, just some fantastic shots here! I have lots, here's a few: Santa Cruz, CA Big Sur, CA Eldorado Canyon, CO
Sir, you are much more than an amateur! I really enjoy seeing your photos. In this age of digital photography and affordable decent cameras, everyone fancies themselves a photographer. While it has no doubt introduced the masses to a higher level of "picture taking," true photography involves good equipment, skill, and a gift. You obviously have good equipment, the skill and the gift!
Thank you very much for your kind words! . I have worked hard and studied hard to get to where I am with photography. Hearing that someone likes a photo makes it all worth while!
Reminds me of Madison County, as in the movie. Do you find covered bridges all across the US? Think I've only seen a single one here in Norway. How far North you live, Luke? AB certainly is magical.
