Hands down, the manliest shaving instrument in the world is the straight razor. More forgiving than a shavette, it is still the coolest looking. A friend of mine used to swear by them, until one day he came in to work with a giant bandage on his face - it took multiple stitches to close up the result of his momentary inattention. For that reason I use a DE, and the most aggressive one I've found is the Merkur Futur and it's clones. But any DE is pretty cool, in my mind.
