@som I fully understand if you are not getting great shaves. I had the same problems with DE razors. I only got good shaves with the old Gillette open comb. None of the other razors compared to any of my SE or injectors. I am glad I found them. You are a DE guy. Us injector heads will not hold it against you or your family. This is what makes this hobby great. If you get tired of it just send it back to me. I will keep it ready for the next person. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If some people didn't love their DEs more than injectors or SEs the prices on eBay would go up. There's a silver lining there. Seriously, sometimes there is no explaining why mileage varies. I can't stand a Schick blade in the Type Gs and find the Personna blade to be a big step up. Others swear the opposite. On the other hand, I hope you get that great shave that has eluded you, and if not, you've got a great razor already in your den when you need one.
Ok, I may have turned a corner this morning. I changed the blade (which I don't think had anything to do with the results), used Proraso green soap, and skipped the pre-shave oil (again, don't think these made much of a difference). I think what *did* make a difference is having a couple shaves under my belt, and a general awareness (but not OVER awareness, if you know what I mean) of the angle and the pressure. I did three passes with a bit of touch-up on my neck, and the results are much better than the previous few shaves. There's a bit of a persistent burn (nothing too bad), so I need to keep paying attention to pressure and angle. I'm going to continue working with this razor for another week or so and then I'll either pass it on (if someone signs up) or pass it back to Tom. Thanks!
If you get the opportunity to try the Injecto Matic with the Japanese Schick single , you are in for an unbelievable shave. My Today`s shave with it and nice MWF lather was a face stroker.
I've used the PAL a few more times, and it really worked for me this morning. I've been focusing quite a bit on the angle. That seems to be the "trick" with this razor. It has helped mentally to think of it almost like a "rake" vs. the DE razors that I've used previously. Anyhow, I got a package from Stirling over the weekend, so I was excited to try some new products. I used Texas On Fire soap for the first time this morning (which my wife really loved). Apparently I've used the PAL enough now that the angle felt much more natural. After two passes up (above my neck) and three passes down (neck and jawline) I have about as good a shave as I've ever had! And I tried a Stirling after shave splash for the first time (Texas On Fire)....I can't keep my hands off of my face....so smooth, so fragrant! Glad I stuck with the razor and worked through the technique. Thanks to those who gave constructive tips. I'll wrap up my time with this razor and send it on this weekend. I'll shoot a PM to Tom for his address unless SOMEONE ELSE SIGNS UP FOR THIS!!! So....SOMEONE ELSE SIGN UP FOR THIS!!!
You are in. Send @som your address and he will send it to you when he is done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm actually shipping tomorrow. I just sterilized it, put in a new blade, and packaged it up. It'll go out priority mail.
Well well , she arrived in the post and we're on. I'm of two minds after the first shave, It was an easy BBS, but I find the lack of feedback a little disconcerting, especially after a week with my GEM/Ever Ready SEs. It's like it's not even there . Maybe the later Schicks are similar but I haven't used them (Have used E, G, I). I have a bit of unexpected irritation, perhaps the lack of feedback led me to apply too much pressure (I'm guessing). Or perhaps a third pass is really unnecessary. Looking forward to another round tomorrow. By the way an NOS one popped up on eBay and I grabbed it (in the mail). Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
My injectors are never as loud as my SE's so don't expect that. This razor requires a feather light touch to avoid irritation. With that said I'm glad your results were good.
No of course, but from memory I think it provides less feedback than the G. I'll have to do a side by side. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Maybe the easiest BBS ever, sweet combination. Glad I bought one. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
