I would like to withdraw my name from this. While I appreciate the generosity, I'm coming to the conclusion that injectors just ain't my thing, and I don't want to delay getting this into the hands of someone who will appreciate it.

I saw your post over on the Schick Adjustable thread. If by chance there were some twin blades included with the Schick I highly, highly recommend you try that option before giving up on it.

I'll take you off the list and if you change you mind you are always welcome back. :happy088:
Reminder to PAL Adjustable users... No twins in the PAL. :sick013:

The Pal has arrived and I'll be splitting my use of this razor between two blades. First I'll use my Personnas to compare it to my favorite Schick, the I (55). Then I'll use one of the Schick blades included with the razor to compare the blades. IMG_0770.jpg

Just had my first shave with the Pal Adjustable and thought I'd give my first impression of it. I put it on the middle setting with a Personna blade. About half way through my first pass, I decided to keep it there because it felt ok. After my three passes, I had a great BBS shave. All in all it was a very comfortable shave and in my opinion, the aggressiveness was a little bit more than my Schick I, but not as much as my Schick E, with it set to the middle setting. Will I move it up a notch next time, maybe, we'll see. Edited, made a boo boo on Schick model, ooops. IMG_0773.jpg

Glad to hear you had no problems finding the "shy girl." I'll be interested in hearing your take on the Personna vs. Schick in this razor as I haven't compared them in the PAL Adjustable. :)

With a couple more uses, you'll be singing its praises. The PAL adjustable is a fantastic razor!

OK, second shave with the Pal Adjustable with Personna blade. I paid a little more attention to the shave and did notice a couple of things different compared to the Schicks. It does tend to get a little slick when the handle gets wet because of the smooth stainless surface on the back. Whereas the Schick I is completely ribbed throughout the handle, and I get a better grip. And it does have a curve in the handle, which the I doesn't, but the head angle is close to the Schick L, even though the L's handle is straighter. All in all, it's just a learning curve which comes after a few shaves. Still, it gave me a nice BBS shave. IMG_0777.jpg

Third shave with the Pal Adjustable, but I was in a hurry and did a two passer with slight touch up for a DFS. I'll probably raise the setting a notch for my fourth, and probably last shave with the Personna blade tomorrow. I'd like to see how they compare to the Schick blades. IMG_0779.jpg

I had every intention of trying out the Pal Adjustable on a higher setting, bet after getting up today, my face felt a bit sore and then I noticed a small area of redness on my face. So, basically I had two options, wait a day before shaving, or put the setting down a notch to lessen the irritation. So, I shaved with it on a lower setting. Being careful, I did three passes and got a nice BBS shave with just a touch of irritation. IMG_0780.jpg

Ok, first shave with the Pal Adjustable using a Schick blade on the middle setting. Overall a very nice and comfortable BBS shave, which went through my trouble ares slightly better than the Personna blade. I expect the rest of the shaves for the second part of the pass around to be about the same. To be fair, one of my trouble areas is just under my chin where my goatee ends and I try not to mess up the edge because I can't continue up any farther. IMG_0781.jpg

My last day with the Pal Adjustable bef ore sending it along on it's merry way tomorrow. Overall it was a great experience, getting BBS shaves all the way with two different blades, Personna and Schick. First, the Personna blade and it gave me really nice smooth shaves. Couldn't expect any less out of it as it gives me great shaves in my Schick razors. With the ability to adjust, the Pal performed great. Second, the Schick blade which also gave me great shaves. On the plus side, it was a bit better at handling my trouble spots than the Personna, with fewer strokes. On the negative side, but nothing bad against it because I experience it also with some DE blades that give me great shaves, it sorta gave me some slight irritation on my neck in those trouble areas. Was it enough for me to never use Schick blades, not in the least bit. There is one problem I had with the Pal, and I've mentioned this before, it's the handle. It curves and the back of the handle is smooth, causing it to shift, especially when wet, and I have to adjust the grip on it when shaving. That's one reason I love my Schick I's as they have a straight and ribbed handle for a better grip. Would I ever pass up on a Pal Adjustable, not on your sweet life. It is a great razor and shaves very nicely and if there was a way to have a better grip, maybe machine some grooves in the handle, which is possible as I know a couple of machinists, or adding a shrink wrap rubber tube to it. Just a couple of ideas going thru my head. So I guess this is goodbye to the Pal Adjustable and thanking it for some wonderful shaves. EDIT: maybe do some stippling on the handle for a better grip as done on some pistol grips and/or grip frame.
