Watch those troopers in Wisconsin. They don't mess around.
A day like that in Chicago, in February? Count it as a pleasure. Looks like a chilly but nice day spent in good company!
Thanks Chris. Agreed, even the locals commented on how lucky we were. The company is superb.
Recently completed my "sow-na."
All reclaimed materials, and an embrace of the four elements: earth (brick), wind (warm air), water (loyly), and fire (well, fire)...and time.
Clean, simple, sweat.
my simple pleasure. the mistress....
My beard is almost here! No pics.
My wife is from Marquette, MI. She pronounces it that way too.
Camera was facing west tonight over the inlet at Waikoloa Village, Island of Hawai'i, Hawaii, USA. Tonight's sunset caused me to remember you describing a similar experience in your travels. I was on a black volcanic beach with my family, and we were all able to sit still and observe the speed of the earth's rotation as the sun dropped into the Pacific Ocean.
No doubt. Highly pleasurable!
Taking a walk in the park and seeing a new sculpture:
Those are some fine looking friends!
Half brothers, both full German Short-haired Pointers from a gun dog breeder in CO. Their local GSP lines are black and white as opposed to the codified liver and white. Challenging breed though, they are great athletes and can be destructive when bored. But like most working or sporting breeds, they are amazing companions and coworkers when trained and handled properly.
I rescued a German Short-hair Pointer / Coon Hound mix from the local APL years ago. She was coal black with mottled grey saddle and accents.
Your twins reminded me of her. She was a runner, and could be aggressive but a beautiful animal. Miss her (Ashley).
Thanks for sharing.
The dogs went crazy a few minutes ago. I looked out the side deck door - looks like the evil (the dog's perspective) bambi is back. They're dropping fawns all through the area. No hunting area so the population is getting out of control. The open area, in the rear of the photo, often will have a dozen at a time.
Driving down HWY 101 along the Pacific Coast today.
No hunting? Odd. I know that here, as well as most farming areas, if you have them in your yard, destroying your property, there are loopholes in the hunting season laws. (Has to be YOUR property, however. )
The entire area is a nature preserve. The deer - although plentiful don't cause any problem - except in the minds of my dogs.
Did the Redwood National Park this morning. Took a lot of photos - here are a few.
