I read somewhere that Paris Ontario is the most photographed place in Ontario.I swear every third time I cross over that bridge I see someone taking a picture.
Lol, it is a pretty little town, I guess The traffic is ridiculous though, tourist season almost over
While this isn't scenery, everyone seems to enjoy this shot even though I was just going to make it an avatar.
I should mention that I have been taking a lot of pics of her as she has (just this week) been diagnosed with pancreatitis. It can be treated, and we are trying but she has a lot of pain, She has been getting a pain shot about every two days which stops the pain. At 11 years old there is a 50 % chance the pancreas will regenerate with the treatment we are receiving. The pain meds are about $40 every 2 - 2 1/2 days and we wont be able to keep that up forever. I am hoping I am not going to have to make that dreaded decision (the one all of us pet owners dread) I wont let her live in pain she has been too good a friend for a long time.
I was down that road about four years ago with our cocker, Missy. As much as I love them, I will never own another dog.
I know what you mean, and I have said that, but gave in to puppy eyes. I am not afraid to admit that I bawled like a baby when I lost my Sheppard , Samantha BTW Johnny who is the good lookin kid in your avatar ?
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so if it's not one of the mods can move it. A while back someone started a thread about his grandfather and I posted a picture of my Dad after he had just gotten a shave in a small barber shop in Rome Italy in 1944 during WWII. I remember my Dad telling stories about the little Italian barber that he made friends with and for a while after returning home kept in contact with him. Not exactly sure what happened to that communication. Anyway, we were going through some old photos last night and I ran across this one. The writing on the back is very faded but it is in my Dad's hand writing and the date written on the back is 1944. I believe this is the little barber shop where he use to get his haircuts and shaves while in Italy. I can figure no other reason why this photo would be in with the rest. My Dad - 1944 Rome Italy after getting a shave. The little barber shop where it took place.
Been there to my friend, I hope for the best as well....Don't mourn her passing yet...I had a Lab/Sheppard mix that a Doctor told me I was going to have to make a decision on when she was 10, and she got well and lived another 5 1/2 years and passed in her sleep....I went through alot of anxiety that wasn't necesary if I had just taken it a day at a time... All these pics are great!! Wyatt, that sunrise is just awesome....And Johnny those shots of your POP are so hip...He looks like a very stylish gent... Can't seem to upload right now...I'll be back...
Had to share this bit of family history. My Dad scanned and emailed them this morning for display in my Mancave. First pic is Jack Dempsey and my Uncle Robbie, not sure of the year...1920 - 1940 ? The second is a pic of my Uncle Ernie and my Uncle Robbie from the same era. All the men in our family were boxers, some golden glove, my gramndfather ran a boxing club in London Ontario called the "chicken coop". Apparently it began as a actual chicken coop.
