I just tossed oout the Country Club A.S. I'm going for the 6 oz. Original(which I believe you're describing). They say the original has a better fragrance than does the large Country Club. As for the "older men" thing, I hope they meant "mature, gentlemanly, polite older men".

 

From another forum in a quasi pejorative (kidding) manner. But that's ok. I'm thick skinned and I'm glad I fit the profile of smelling like an "old man" what ever that is? Besides. It sure beats the alternative.

 

May I guess that by "Old Type Advocate", you prefer the shaving stuff that has stood the test of time(and is still doing so?)

 

Since you asked. Yes on the vintage stuff in general, and yes on the Gillette Old Types in particular. I love the Old Types. I have two cased 1908's Single Rings . One US and one Brit. A cased 1918 standard set and a 1919 Bulldog. I shave with all of them. On holidays, special dates and sometimes just because. I love their history.

 

Just bought that a few days ago. I've had it before-happy to have it again.

 

Yes....Clubman Country Club. I highly recommend it.

 

it's an excellent shampoo, IMO.
