H&K USP in either. 40 or .45 caliber. Very similar controls of the .45 Gov't Model with modern safety features. It can be carried hammer down in double action mode or hammer cocked and locked in single action like the Colt. The .45 is kind off large. I have large hands and never found it to be an issue, but others who shoot it say they have issues reaching the slide release and it feels too big. No complaints with the .40. Very reliable and the many choices of carry make it appealing to me, depending on the threat level and my exposure to the public at any given time.
Oh and get a wheel gun.. reliable and if you get a .357mag you can shoot several different rounds in it, depending on what you are doing.l
No offense. But that is assuming that the nuts or criminally minded would bother get a conceal carry permit in the first place. Just because they aren't issuing them, it really only means that crooks and nuts are the only ones with a gun under their coats.
I am going to agree. All the laws do is keep the bad guys protected more. Arizona has been a open carry state for a long time.. I do not know the numbers compared to national crime stats but I am sure it is no worse. Here is a quote that I like. An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life. Robert A. Heinlein
